Time To Exercise Your Right To Vote! Well, ladies and germs, here as promised, are your entries. Don't let them fool you, these people worked long and hard on them. Some of them took fifteen minutes to write. It's not all we hoped for, but then again you're no prize winners yourselves. *Bada-dum-dump* Ho, tough crowd! Hey, sir, if you're gonna throw fruit, start with your son! No respect at all these days. I tell you, I've seen a livelier crowd in morgues. But you're not all bad, there's a lady in the front row who's still got two days left in her 'sell by' date. Then again, with a face like that, who'd know?
All kidding aside, we're here to judge something other than my hackneyed jokes. We asked you to post them, and you responded. So, without further adieu, here they are!
The first time the Doctor allowed himself to love a human as in return as she loved him was when he met Rose Tyler. Yes he'd known countless companions, many of them human, some of them not. Yes he'd loved them all as well some more than others but he'd never had returned their very fragile human love to them in the way they given it to him. The difference with Rose he'd knew was that he'd been more free to love her after he'd lost everything else he'd held dear. When he'd met her, he'd been broken in more ways than he could count and if he were completely honest he'd been ready to just give up on even living.
But then he'd met Rose, and with the simple act of grabbing her hand, telling her to run he'd lost himself to her. She'd had him from that moment on out even if had taken him awhile to realized what had happened. She had helped the broken old man that he was want to live again. That's why when he lost her he knew the innumerable tiny pieces his hearts had shattered into would never be put back together again and once again living had become a too great burden for him to bear.

James Gordon was still reeling from the kiss… Batman had kissed him that night in the alleyway. That one chaste kiss had invaded his every waking moment since and his dreams replayed it over again every night. His thoughts began to affect his job performance, and in Gotham City, he could not afford to let his guard down.
This new threat, the Joker, was vicious and cunning. He had hampered Commissioner Gordon's efforts at every turn. It was the Joker who’d put him in this precarious situation and now, his life hung in the balance once more.
Tied to a pole and drugged out of his mind, Commissioner Gordon tried to put his life into some sort of perspective. The demands of his position had finally driven his family away. His wife simply couldn't cope anymore, so she'd left him, taking their child with her. He was very alone now. He had but one hope, the hope that was always present in the back of his mind… Batman
James Gordon blinked as his eyes gradually began to focus, turning his world from gray to color. He felt warm and comfortable. He surveyed his environment. Rock walls surrounded him on all sides and a rock ceiling hung above him. A cave of some sort--he was in a cave. He took a quick peek under the covers of the large bed, only to discover that he was completely naked and clean. Someone had cleaned him up and bandaged his cuts.
A shadowy figure appeared at the periphery of his vision. Jim knew who it was. Apparently, the Dark Knight had saved him yet again. He never believed in fairy tales, but if a Prince Charming really did exist, Jim had found his.
Batman sat down on the bed next to him and gently stroked his face. He wasn’t wearing the gloves this time and Jim could readily feel the heat of his hand against his cheek. Jim sighed with contentment.
"What happened, Batman? The last thing I remember is being tied to a pole and that maniac’s hysterical laughter."
"I tracked one of the Joker’s henchmen to their lair, but they all fled as soon as I arrived. My main concern was your safety, so I didn’t follow them. I just got you out of there as quickly as I could."
"I’m sorry. If it weren’t for me you might have caught them. Where are we, by the way?" Jim asked, looking around the cave.
"I call it the Bat Cave, but I guess it’s home."
"A very interesting abode you have here." Jim commented in awe. "How much do I owe you now, Batman? You seem to be making a career out of saving my life. I’ll never be able to repay you."
"You don’t have to. All I want is you. If you think that’s what you want too?"
Jim didn’t hesitate. He answered with a resounding, "Yes."
Batman smiled, leaning in close, he gave Jim a real kiss, their first real kiss; long, sweet and passionate.
When he pulled away, Jim was breathless and his eyes were shining.
"Who are you, Batman?" Jim asked softly.
"I’ll tell you soon, when things have settled down. I promise. Right now, it’s just too dangerous."
"Yes, especially with me getting myself kidnapped every other day."
"Don’t put yourself down. It wasn’t your fault. The Joker is insane and he doesn’t care how many lives he puts in jeopardy. I’m not going to let this happen again. I’ve put a tracking device inside your watch. If you ever get captured again just push the button on the backside and I’ll know you’re in danger. I’ll be able to find you wherever you are."
"I can’t imagine what I would do without you, Batman."
"And you’ll never have to," Batman replied as he pulled Jim close for another searing kiss.

Thumping his fingers along his father's desk, Kyle tried to come up with something to distract him. Legally, he was a fugitive from the law. Yet, since the fall of Seattle and the rise of Promise City, some of those laws ceased. Occasionally, an agent who passed by would look at him, but nothing was ever made of it.
Checking the clock, he found it was fifteen past noon. If his father didn't show up soon, their table would go to someone else. That was the one bad side effect of Jordan's policies, despite being one of the leaders, he was afforded any special treatment. His father had more pull in the government than he did.
It was like being a teenager all over again.
A thick wad of paperwork dropped on his father's desk startled Kyle from his thoughts. Nearly falling from his chair in the rush, he glared up at the person who had done it.
Smirking at the younger man, Jed placed his hands on his hips. This left his jacket wide open, showing off his holster and gun. Lips twitching in amusement as Kyle swallowed, he nodded at the clock. "Whatever you got planned, you might as well go. Tom's busy for the rest of the day."
"He and I have plans. He'll be here." Despite his words, Kyle had the distinct impression they were false. It wouldn't be the first time his father had canceled their plans without bothering to tell him. In fact, if he called the restaurant, their table was probably gone already too.
Jed studied Kyle for a minute, his gaze lingering on the younger man's face. Narrowing his eyes, pursed his lips in thought. Once he decided, he jerked his head over his shoulder. "Come on."
"What?" Confusion warred with disbelief and suspicion. He wasn't about to trust the NTAC agent.
"I've got enough for two. You're obviously going to go hungry here waiting. There's no sense in wasting it." Mind made up, Jed grabbed Kyle by the wrist. He jerked the other man out of his seat and on to his feet.
Kyle started to protest, trying to pull his hand free. He opened his mouth to speak when Jed whirled on him.
Capturing Kyle's mouth with his own, Jed took quick advantage of his shock. Pushing his tongue between the other man's lips, he licked the inside of his mouth. When he pulled back, he licked his lips. "You taste as good as you look. Come on."
Standing there stunned, Kyle touched his lips in disbelief. When he looked up, he found Jed smirking at him, smug in his actions. Unbelievably, he found himself returning the look. This time when Jed tugged on his hand, Kyle didn't fight him.

"It has been my observation that Humans are a tactile species. You derive comfort from touching those of whom you have an emotional bond. It is, in fact, essential for your mental well being during development." Fingers fanning out, Da'an cocked his head so that he could observe from the corner of his eye.
Nodding absently, Boone continued to stare out the observation window upon D.C. "It is not something innately human in as such that almost all species on our planet experience something similar."
"Yes, but humans are essentially more...affectionate than most species." Turning over his palms, Da'an refocused his attention once more upon the gardens. Still a part of his awareness was centered upon the human. "Does physical contact reenforce your emotional bonds or is it simply for pleasure?"
A ghost touch slid over Boone's cheek. Hearing a giggle in the distance of his mind, he grinned. "A mixture of both. It's a bit more complex than that, though."
"Curious." Having caught the Commander's distraction, Da'an faced Boone directly. "From your reaction, I assume that our conversation has triggered a memory."
Boone nodded. Closing his eyes, he could still Sarah's hands as they clutched his face. Raising his fingers, he traced them over his cheeks, desperately seeking to feel her skin once more. His fingers continued up until he wiped away a stray tear. When he opened them, he found Da'an studying him.
There was a pause between them. Feeling bold, Da'an pressed on. "Are your memories painful?"
"Yes." Boone cleared his throat. This one time, he would not lie. "Memories of my wife will always be tainted by the bitterness of loss."
Twisting his head to the side, Da'an's facade shimmered. When he opened his eyes again, he would not meet the human's gaze. Instead, he turned to the window once more. After a time, he seemed to draw breath. "It is something I have yet to find a solution to myself."
Nodding, Boone returned to his watching.

Shaking her head, Maria couldn't believe it had come to this. They were in her mother's kitchen, both nearly covered in flour. For the past five hours it had been a constant struggle. The counters were covered in failures, the book smudged with finger prints.
Leaning back against the counter beside her, Michael uncrossed his arms. Watching the oven timer, he scarcely breathed. If there were a moment that this attempt could go wrong, it would be when the cake started to rise.
As if in response to his thoughts, the back door flew open. Coming through, Amy carried her jacket in one arm and a sack of groceries in the other. "Maria, can you give me a hand here?"
Maria was about to respond, but found a large palm placed over her breasts. First looking down at it, then up at the owner, she raised an eyebrow in question.
"Don't move!" Michael squeezed her breasts once before letting go. "I'll handle it." Gently walking passed the oven, he took the sack of groceries from Amy.
Arm free of the sack, Amy looked over the top to Michael. "What are you doing here, it's past midnight?"
"Perfecting history." With a graceful twirl on the ball of his foot, he slid in his sock covered feet back in to the kitchen.
Staring at her daughter wide eyed, Amy mimicked Maria's raised eyebrow.
Maria shook her head. "Don't even ask." Taking the bag from Michael, she dropped it on the counter.
"Silence!" The oven bell ringed, and Michael almost reverently bent over to grab the handle. Slowly, he pulled it open and reached in with the pot holders. Taking out the cake pan, he set it on the burners to cool and closed the oven.
Amy and Maria came up behind him, peering around him to see the yellow cake. Drawing back, Amy screwed up her face in disbelief. Maria shook her head. Together, they looked back at the cake.
"I have done it. It's a masterpiece." Michael grabbed the cake pan and carried it over to the cake dish. Turning over the pan, he gently tapped it until the cake slid out. It landed on the glass dish with a wet thump. Stepping back, Michael gestured at the confection. "Ladies, may I present to you, the first alien sponge cake."
Rolling her eyes, Maria slapped Michael upside the head.

"Okay, so this is nice. I can handle this." Watching the group of young women from across the room, Xander rubbed his palms down the front of his pants and swallowed. There were girls from all walks of life, a few of which would definitely kick his ass for calling them girls. Gasping for breath, he quickly turned away. "Or may be not!"
Wrapping her hands around his arm, Willow held Xander steady. She laid her cheek upon his shoulder, heaving a massive sigh. "It's okay, I'm here, I'll protect you from the big bad butchies!"
"Oh god!" Panicking, Xander bent forward until he was leaning against his thighs. His breath started coming in short pants and spots danced before his eyes. "I can't do this. You've got to get me out of here, Wills."
"Xander, you promised." She didn't want to needle him, but if he tried to get away, she wasn't above it.
"Willow." Whining never worked in the past, it wasn't going to work now. She pointed to her face and he didn't have to look up to know it was her resolve face. "Fine!"
"Is everything all right over here?"
Xander glanced up at that. The silky voice came with an even svelte looking body. Traveling her body with half lidded eyes, he slowly advanced to her face. Licking his lips, he smiled at the young woman. "Oh, everything's fine."
Rocking her head back a little, she tossed her hair over her shoulder. "Well, so long as everything's fine. My name's Mina." She held out her hand.
Taking it between his own, Xander brought it to his lips. "I'm Alexandra." Without realizing it, he pushed up his magically induced breasts. "Nice to meet you."
"Like wise." Chuckling, she squeezed Xander's hand, then blatantly looked down his low cut blouse. "Very glad to make your acquaintance."
Letting Xander go, Willow shook her head. Xander was a woman for only a whole week and already he was better at the Lesbian Dating Scene than she. There was no justice.
