She shrugged, staring at the bar for a moment before lifting her head again. "It's okay. I . . . it's complicated, but I heard from him. He and my sons think I'm dead, but they're getting on just fine. They're out there rescuing people, saving lives. And since there's no way off the Folly that any of us have found, I may as well be dead to them."
