Eric gave Vala a small nod. Even with her soft words of explanation, he still felt upset knowing that while beings on which his belief system had been based were real, the gods themselves had never existed at all.
He also found himself just the slightest bit intrigued by these other beings, and he decided to focus on that rather than the other things that he felt. "What are these Asgard like, then, if they're as advanced as you say they are?" he asked, his voice tinged with an edge of coldness despite his effort to ignore what he was feeling.
