Pam pursed her lips as she tried not to shoot a look at Felix, not appreciating him volunteering her crossbow for her, even when she would have done so on her own. But she only had just opened her mouth to do so when she was interrupted.
"Fuck no, you're not going in the box," Scotty told Lucy. "I go in the box, you go in the tent. Or someone goes in the tent." He started to say that she was the girl, so he should be doing the dangerous thing, but this group hadn't found that as chivalrous as he thought it was in the past.
Edwin smiled and nodded as Kiley assured them that she didn't feel pressured. "Safe houses would be better, right? If the box thing does work, then we can just put out a series of sheds instead of platforms that will have a weight limit. I definitely don't hate the idea of being able to put out safe houses, or a hardware store."
