"A Home Depot or Lowe's or any of those hardware megastores would be great, but really, any store popping up and giving us another place to hide out in if we need to sounds pretty okay," Edwin pointed out. The idea of actual lumber being available sounded nice, though, as he already didn't love the idea of treetop platforms. It was still better than having to rush over to the museum, and riding that platform up and down, but still. "With a hardware store with actual lumber, we could at least maybe do something a little more Swiss Family Robinson and less... whatever the opposite of that would be. Something sturdier would be a little more tamper-proof, too, which would be nice," he added, remembering the bicycle fiasco. "Plus, you know... there's stuff there that means we could have hobbies again." He looked to Kiley. "I'm really not trying to pressure you into anything, I'm just throwing some pros out there."
Pam nodded as Chase made his points, and when Jack spoke up she stood up a little straighter, then looked at Chase again. "That reminds me, I need to get you the rest of my list. Which I can still change stuff on, actually, we probably don't need all those movies, especially with all these books that just popped up." She looked at Jack. "So then I can get boxes, and you can stick to food, because that's, like... Honestly it's arguably more important."
After a moment of quiet contemplation, Scotty cleared his throat, holding a finger up to signal that he was about to speak. "I'll test the box, when we're ready," he volunteered. "I mean, shit, I did it already and got out fine, and then running from them was a hell of a fucking rush, and even getting grabbed, I just felt shitty and tired, so fuck it. I'll do some shit. I'm down."
