"I wouldn't mind knowing more about that either," Edwin said from his spot, predictably, next to Oliver, pointing over at Kiley. "They've put all sorts of weird things in the houses we've been in, but I think the plague doctors are the only ones who physically interacted with us, as far as weird roaming creatures go. And the plague doctors took samples from us, so maybe this is an advanced version of that? I don't... I didn't notice anyone missing any hair, but... I don't know, it seems strange that they'd just pick us up and put us back, but with racing stripes."
He looked at Chase next. "That echolocation theory's really interesting, though. I don't think it's stupid at all. It's... Would that work the same with the tents, you think? The monster-proof tents are just monster proof because they don't realize that they open up and hold people inside? That'd probably be really easy to test."
