"We never saw the monster that took your phone, though," Marco pointed out softly. Lucy was right, he didn't like talking about these things, but it still seemed worth it to mention that these specific things seemed too gangly and weird to be able to silently reach into their broken window and run off with a phone, which it somehow got to work with it's claws. "These things bumped around the house like assholes, maybe that was something different." That suggested that something else was out there, which made him uneasy, and he quickly shook his head to try to clear it. "Maybe just a weird Them thing." Maybe that was a more comforting thought. He hadn't decided.
He wasn't sure how he felt about finding out that Lucy had been stuck up a tree, though. He'd been so tired and freaked out the day before that he'd ended up just keeping to himself and going to bed before Lucy could ask him questions that he didn't want to focus on. He didn't want to focus on them now, but he'd come to the meeting anyway, because what the hell else was he supposed to do? He sunk down into the couch cushion. "But I agree with Lucy that I don't think it's the doors that stop it. They're big. Couldn't they just break a window if they wanted?"
