"If Harper's at the auto shed, then Harper probably did about half the walking and lugging of shit we did last night, and again today. Harper will probably be fine with a detour," Felix replied, more worn out than annoyed, but obviously unmoved by Pam's attempted guilt trip. As if the potential prospect of even more walking for a surprise rescue trip, on top of extra walking for the regular rescue trip, was supposed to be incentive.
He was honestly a little surprised that Tobias seemed to be sneakily and silently opting to leave with him with over staying with Lennon, though he supposed not wanting to be stuck with Pam was the biggest factor there. That he was apparently the lesser of two evils in this scenario would probably be more amusing later, after the caffeine had kicked in and they had put some distance between them and the center.
"Yeah, we can do that," he told Tobias, casually solidifying his plan of heading directly to the house, and maybe back Tobias up if he needed it. A few brownie points couldn't hurt, even if the effort put in was minimal. "You guys want my portable charger? My phone's still got some juice."
