"That's not actually as comforting as I think you think it is," Edwin told Owen. He wasn't sure that he was in the mood to hear people's comforting reassurances when they all had just as much information as him. Yeah, all the things Chase had said were optimistic and maybe even likely, but until he knew for sure he'd be on edge, and he'd hope that his boyfriend wasn't actually trying to be the hero tonight.
He stopped when Tobias spoke up, his thoughts matching Lennon's, and he closed his eyes to keep from looking at the other guys who had been there when they'd found that body, or just to keep from glaring at Tobias, who probably just didn't think about what he was saying before he'd said it. He wasn't exactly a glarer. "I'd like some of that coffee, Felix, thank you," he sighed.
"We should check tomorrow, if they're still there," Pam decided of the markers. "If it's a trap then at least we know the monsters won't be there during the day. Or maybe the glitch will be over by then, or whatever." She slipped on her sneakers, whining a little bit at the discomfort of having to put them back on for just a moment before she collected her bag and crossbow. "Oh, wait, are we crossing the river here? Should I have kept my shoes off?" She looked at the guys in the group that had just arrived. "Do you guys have a change of clothes or anything? It's gonna be wet."
