Edwin pressed his lips together into a thin line, and despite already knowing what he'd find, he pulled out his phone and checked for messages. All that had changed was that his battery was now at 13%. He looked back up at Owen and shook his head. "I'm worried," he said needlessly, knowing that he wasn't hiding his worry well.
"I think you're right about the markers," Pam said, moving back to her socks and shoes so she would be ready when it was time to move again. She knew no one else had responded to her message, so anyone else who they came across would probably be by accident, so there was no sense in sticking around here. "And I think it's okay if you all rest for a little bit, but we should, like, probably not stay here. I still like the plan we had."
