"I will," Chase promised Kiley. Honestly, he had no plan to leave the back porch if he could help it. Getting up close and personal with one of those things again was absolutely not on the agenda, and just the though of it made his pulse spike even higher. "If they come next to the fire, go inside," he told her, using context clues of where everyone was facing to answer his own question. "I'll be right behind you," he promised, and he actually figured he could probably keep that one. He didn't want to leave anyone outside, but if those things got close enough there wouldn't be much anyone could do. "We should pass torches out to them, don't go down, though." He supposed he should ask someone to go make more from the stuff in his room, but he didn't know how useful that would be. If only they had.....
He managed to keep himself from swearing out loud, not wanting anyone to think an attack was coming from somewhere else, but quickly scanned over the group to take note of who was there while setting down his gear, then reaching for his phone. He was momentarily distracted by more sounds from the creature and the responses from the group, but the light from the porch obscuring his view was almost a blessing here as he rapidly sent out a text to the one other person who had experience with these things who wasn't here.
He heard voices from inside stepping back towards the door and peering in to see Lennon and Marco, practically panting as he spoke rapidly while trying to finish off his text, hoping Scotty was still in the barn. "We need empty bottles and scrap cloth. You don't have to bring any of it out just have it ready."
