Oliver opened his mouth, but what nearly came out wasn't likely to help people calm. If the lanterns weren't going to keep whatever it was at bay, the tents likely wouldn't either. He dropped the axe down onto the ground then moved for the wood pile he'd started earlier that day.
"Let's build the fire up a bit more," he stated even as he started to toss logs back, out of the way of the others, but closer to the fire so they wouldn't have to make any moves toward the darker areas on the perimeter. He jumped slightly at another sound, his attention moving immediately towards the house before realizing it had been the scrape of one of the windows opening, and Jack's silhouetted form showed in the light from the kitchen. "Shit, are you guys okay? What can I do?"
"Stay put," Oliver replied, not even really sure if he should be asking Jack to do anything useful, just knowing he needed to focus on what the group outside could do right now.
