Felix frowned thoughtfully, his eyes aimed at a stack of prehistoric pizza flavored combos without seeing them. He clocked his tongue rhythmically as an idea formed, glancing back at her after a few seconds.
"The watchtower," he chirped, snapping his finger and wagging it in the air. "High vantage point, and we can toss one of our lanterns there in case it doesn't light up on its own. Leave a trail of fish guts and see if the monsters follow it within view of the tower while one of both of us hangs out. If that doesn't work, we can try something else some other night. Whatever does work, we leave a trail to the house, knock out the wheel and see what happens. They haven't gone into any enclosed spaces yet, but if we're technically inviting them maybe it'll be different. Or we can try to get somebody outside. When the lanterns are going and knock them out before they can get back in." His thoughtful frown returned. "Actually, the best bet might be to get somebody on the trail from the house to the mill. Maybe bait up to there...easiest would probably be Len. If I tell him my ass is on the table he'd be over there like a shot, we'd just have to time it right."
He didn't want to admit that the thought of leaving Lennon out as a monster snack didn't sit well with him, but he reasoned that all of the people they knew for sure had come into contact with the monsters had come back just fine. As awful as the body had been, it didn't really fit the M.O. of what the house had experienced with them so far. Lennon would be fine. Probably. It really was the most logical, convenient choice, and probably served to show he wasn't so attached to Lennon despite sleeping with him. He ignored the faint roll of his gut, leisurely eyeballing the rest of the shelves. "And if fish guts don't work, there's got to be something around here that does."
