"Yeah, but that was probably Them who did it," Lila said dismissively. Someone died, but she didn't think it had been anyone in the house who snapped. There were rules not to go out after dark. Jerome had... supposedly... and now he was just a pile of burnt flesh. Or however it was they had gotten rid of the body.
Glancing at Felix, Lila smirked a bit. "You're right. They do that a lot. Defense mechanism, probably. Pretend it didn't happen, bury it deep. At least with Jerome? Simms, they probably didn't care about. It's obvious a few of them would have done the deed themselves if Tobias hadn't. I don't know how close Jerome was to people, or how long he'd been here. I guess it's easier to move on from someone's death when you don't care about them all that much."
