"That's optimistic," Felix snorted dryly but not without humor, not willing to bet anything on Them being overly generous without some sort of payment. "Though, I guess if the point is for us to get out and do shit it's a possibility."
He also nodded once in concession to the idea that it could snow tomorrow, even as he shrugged. "And maybe, but I sure as fuck hope not. Winter makes people hunker down. It's a hell of a lot less interesting when ninety percent of the time people are leaving is only when they're forced to. You go through the trouble of setting up a perfectly good scam in town but then noooobody wants to leave the house because the wind chill is negative ten, or whatever. I guess that's what happens when half the house comes from places where sixty degrees is considered freezing."
He scoffed, then added, "plus, I don't want to deal with that shit anymore either. You missed a lot of it, but the last round of winter lasted for-fucking-ever."
