"It was a little off-putting at first," Dylan admitted. "When you're freaking out, you want to feel validated by seeing other people freak out and when it looks like some people don't give a shit, you wonder why not. But I guess it's just because you all had your chance before."
She joined him in the hot tub, sighing happily as she sank up to her neck, letting her legs float. "Anyway, yeah, overseas flights are tough in general," she sympathized. "Though to be honest I didn't think the time change getting over there was that bad - we left LAX at night, arrived in the morning in Australia. I basically slept the whole way there and was pretty good to go as soon as we touched down." She sat up a little and picked up her drink and a piece of fruit.
"Had to retire," she said with a shrug and a slightly regretful smile. "I was a backup dancer for like... four years. Blew out my knee in rehearsals for a new tour. Two surgeries and a ton of physio but I just couldn't get back to the level I needed to be to be able to manage big tours and shows. Was great while it lasted, though."
