Who: Dylan and Felix Where: The basement When: Early afternoon
It didn't really matter that much to Felix that it had only been a few days since his last trip into the basement. What mattered was getting as far away from that fucking song as humanly possible, despite the fact that he'd already been doing that in the batcave for most of the morning. The prospect of more quiet and enjoying the hot tub while getting acquainted with someone else in the house was more than enough incentive, even without the added bonus of Dylan apparently knowing how to make drinks. Which it was, and he was going to take full advantage. To be fair, the fact that he was actually hanging out with an adult, even if she wasn't one of them, definitely helped.
It had been a while since he'd actually dressed with the intent to take his clothes off, even if there was no real indication that there would be anything inherently sexual about any of it. It felt strange almost to just consider, like putting on an old skin. Trying too hard could very, very easily put people off, but not trying hard enough could do the same thing. Whatever. Keep it simple. Dark blue boxers. Clean. New. Presentable. Flattering without trying too hard. Done.
He finished dressing with the jeans and t-shirt from before, tossing on a hoodie just for the hell of it. With a towel over his shoulder, his phone in his pocket, and his dancing water speakers tucked under his arm, he headed to the kitchen and gathered the most water-resistant snacks he could find. Mostly grapes and strawberries, until he saw a bag of cooked colossal shrimp hanging out in the freezer and decided to take a minute to thaw it out under the tap. He tossed the fruit into one giant ziplock bag, the thawed shrimp in another, turning his towel into an impromptu sack for the trip down to carry them. He piled the speakers and a container of cocktail sauce onto a couple of plates, carrying them in-hand to the elevator, knocking the button with his elbow and waiting for it to make the journey all the way back up to get him.
When the doors opened to nothing but the familiar sounds of the gaming machines and the hum and gurgle of pool appliances, he sighed audibly in relief as he stepped into the room. "Oh, thank fuck."
