Pam didn't glance towards the kitchen, but to the rooster, like he might somehow give the answer. The thing hadn't really done much since they'd gotten to the diner, aside from strut back and forth across the floor, and Pam was glad that they were able to save the thing, but she couldn't remember the last time she'd had to feed a chicken. Back home, she was pretty sure there were only two or three clients who kept chickens and brought them to their clinic, and she was desperately trying to remember if they fed them anything other than seed. "I'm pretty sure that most fruits and veggies are okay. Potatoes-- You know, I think you can actually feed chickens chicken and it's fine. I know I heard you can feed them ham... But, like, fruits and veggies are pretty safe. You hungry, Mr. Pecky? I bet you are!"
The news that chickens could eat chicken earned another laugh from Edwin, who was doing his best to stare at the toast he was making, and not Oliver's face, to see if that idea was horrifying to him.
