Who: Tobias, Chase, Pam, Kiley, Edwin and Oliver Where: Chase's Room, then town When: Morning
Chase couldn't remember what time it had actually been when Tobias had woken him up by knocking on the door the night before, though it probably would have been more accurate to assume that it had been morning by that point. He couldn't quite remember what had actually been said, but it wasn't hard to figure out that his friend hadn't been sleeping well and needed company. Frankly, Chase hadn't been faring all that much better, between dreams about the prison, worry about Kiley, and the pain in his leg. Like he had every morning since waking up to find Kiley gone, there were those few seconds of disorientation, then hope, then disappointment. Not waking up alone probably should have felt better, once he recalled what he could of Tobias' arrival in the first place, and it probably did on some level. He appreciated that Tobias was there, and that just being around one another was helping both of them probably, but Tobias wasn't who belonged there. He fought the wave of disappointment, anger, and sadness that was becoming all too familiar, carefully dislodging Minion from his lap so he could work on getting his bruised body up and to the bathroom. Minion took the hint with only a little prodding, walking a couple of kitty steps to the right and promptly curling up into a ball, slightly pressed against Tobias' pillow.
Unfortunately, between the stiffness of not sleeping in a real bed for nights in a row, and the awkwardness of his foot, he wasn't terribly surprised to find Tobias in the process of waking up by the time he actually got to his feet. Neither one of them seemed to be sleeping particularly heavily, if much at all these days. "Sorry, I was trying to be quiet," he mumbled, offering a small, apologetic smile that turned into a slight wince as he tried to aim his body towards the bathroom door, only to look back again, gesturing with his head to the cat. "You've got a friend."
