Kiley's legs felt wobbly again so she sat down as soon as she could, not really protesting when Tobias suddenly sat beside her and unzipped his coat to wrap part of it, along with his arm, around her. She had to scoot in closer to him which made her snort softly with some amusement, but she had begun to shiver so it was probably better to just let him do what he was doing. Were they okay? It wasn't like they had been locked down there for a really long time. It just felt long. Buried alive, sort of. Thank god it hadn't been a real coffin. Honestly, she didn't want food. She wanted Chase. A few months ago that sort of dependence after an ordeal like this would have freaked her out, but right now she didn't even care.
Kiley looked up wearily at the beef jerky and she took it, though she didn't start to unwrap it for consumption. Being outside now with some semblance of warmth felt nice and exhaustion was starting to feel heavier in her bones. She felt Tobias rub her arm and she was glad it was at least him, if not Chase. She didn't think she would want to be touching anyone she didn't know very well right now. "Can we do math after we get back? My brain feels like it's going to explode enough as it is."
