"Aw, I like your idea better," Edwin said, smiling warmly, even a little playfully, at Oliver. "I mean, it's the same as mine, but you thought about my jacket and I didn't. Good boyfriend." He was about to pat Oliver on the head, if just for a bit more levity in this bad situation, but was cut off by yelling from below.
"Can you guys also give me something to wrap Mr. Pecky in?" Pam yelled. "And also, like, hurry up? Because like I need a shower and a hamburger."
Edwin slipped his coat off as he looked around, hoping that maybe Tobias knew of something in one of these bags that Pam could use. He moved Oliver's phone out of the way, then dangled his feet down into the hole, then slid further in, slowly and carefully, with a little help from Oliver, until he was dangling from the ledge. Luckily, the hole wasn't too deep, and the space left from his shoes to the floor was minimal.
The smell wasn't great, though, and it only took a quick look around in the dark to figure out why that probably was. Which he chose to get mad about later.
For now he smiled, looking from Pam to Kiley. "Let's get you guys out of here, huh?" He wasn't surprised that Pam was back on her feet before he could finish the sentence.
