It took Tobias sometime to get into town. It was cold but the roads were at least clear enough that he didn't have to traipse through several feet of snow. Just as he made it into town he realized he probably could have taken one of the snowmobiles. Only, he didn't really know how to drive one and it was too late now to attempt it. What if he needed help? Tobias supposed he could just post to the network but it would still take people time to get there. Just all around poor planning on his part, but he had been eager to get moving so he could send Chase some news.
As he walked through town he adjusted the scarf he had wrapped around the lower half of his face. Then he pulled Chase's cemetery map out. The stash was in a mausoleum. At least he didn't have to walk into town, and past the creepy buildings or the police station. The road that led down from the mansion simply curved around up into the cemetery.
As soon as he got there Tobias pulled out his phone to send Chase a private message that he was there. And then he immediately began to look around for any sign that there was maybe a fresh, or disturbed grave. His heart was beating harder now and he felt a little nauseous, but he was determined to push through his anxiety as he headed toward the back mausoleum to where Chase had indicated the stash was kept. When he reached the front, he took a deep breath, feeling apprehensive about this whole thing. But Tobias couldn't not go inside. It wasn't like there would be zombies waiting for him. Maybe Kiley. Maybe Kiley's body.
Whimpering, Tobias pulled open the heavy door, breathing hard against the scarf that covered his mouth. Then he stepped inside, tense as if he was waiting for something to jump out and scare him. "Kiley?" The sound was muffled by the scarf. Annoyed with himself, Tobias tugged it down and tried again. "Kiley?" he called, listening to his voice echo against the stone. He needed to look in some of the graves, sure, but... god, he really didn't want to.
