"Okay, do that," he said, since it would distract Chase long enough for Tobias to go get dressed. "I'll be right back." He had been tired before but now it felt like he'd been given a shot of adrenaline. He wanted to find Kiley too, but this felt more like it was for Chase than anything else. He seemed pretty sure about Kiley being in town, in the cemetery, and while Tobias hated cemeteries, he'd rather go look than have Chase go on a bum foot in the snow.
He left Chase in the room and hurried back to his own. Had this been any other day, he might have been less hesitant to go into town alone, but avoidance was one of his favorite things to do now, and it would take a while to get into town and search and then come back. The fewer people to potentially bother him, the better.
So he quickly brushed his teeth and dressed warmly, stopping briefly at Lennon's door to check and see if his friend would go with him. He waited only a minute or so, and when Lennon didn't answer, Tobias sighed and turned to head back to Chase's room. He couldn't wait too long or he had a feeling Chase would try to go into town on his own.
When he got there he knocked briefly and opened the door before tugging a hat down over his head and ears. "I'm ready," he said, patting his coat pocket where he'd stashed his phone. "You got the map?"
