Tobias was finding that he didn't like being alone, but there were only two people in the house he actually wanted to be around, especially after what had been written on his door. It felt safer to be elsewhere, hiding in Lennon or Chase's room where he had... 'back up' didn't feel like the right word. Friends was more accurate. He knew his friends wouldn't let anything bad happen to him, no matter what was written on his door.
After a particularly harrowing dream about the paring knife that had killed Simms woke him, Tobias had stumbled through the house to Chase's bedroom door in the middle of the night. That was how he ended up on the couch with his friend, sleeping fitfully, but with less fear in his bones. At some point he felt Chase wake and start to move, rousing him from his light doze. He squinted over at his friend and then looked at the cat curled up near his pillow. Tobias reached over to sleepily pet Minion. "S'okay," he murmured, feeling groggy from interrupted sleep. "You need any help?" Chase seemed to be getting around okay, but Tobias had to imagine his foot was still aching.
