This is actually pretty close to the list I was coming up with.
eggs whole milk butter potatoes flour brown rice coffee beans sugar salt dried pinto beans
Swap ideas:
Sugar for Honey - usually just means rebalancing ingredients when you're cooking things, and it's functional on its own Flour for Oats - gonna depend on if there's a way to actually grind them down into flour wherever we're going.
I agree with Dylan that having more fruits and veggies would be a great idea, but with so few slots we really need to think hard about versatility and functionality as much as nutritional value. I know the different kinds of things I can make with that list, including pasta (gotchu) and unleavened breads. If we're going to be stuck with the same foods for a while, it's gotta be things we can switch up as much as we can, or people just won't want to eat.
Also, just gonna put this out here, but I know coffee doesn't seem like as much of a necessity, but you feel it when you don't have it. Especially if shit is gonna hit the fan. Which, not to freak people out, but it probably will.
