Pool house, all day, Talk Like A Pirate Day! Everyone welcome
Technically they shouldn't have put it in the pool, but the Manor could afford to replace it if necessary and it had to be admitted that a genuine floating pirate ship was a lot more fun than one on the grass.

Nick tied it off securely at one side of the pool so the prow was in the shallow end and the stern over deep water for jumping in, and wondered who would be the first to find it. There were plenty of posters up, that was for sure.

{Standard party post - get your pups' scantiest swimmers on and come and say 'Aaaaar'}

This was one of those horrible moments when Jazz felt helplessly stuck in the middle that had an increasing way of cropping up - but she was getting better at handling them at least.

"Someone would be very busy if they tried, there's as many staff here as tenants."

She guided Jane to one side, "Come on, I left my things over by the hot tub. Seemed safer, poor thing's mostly neglected."

"Really? I mean, oh, I er, see what you mean," Jane spotted Nick, and then Jack, and of course Charlie. She even started to relax about then, "So if everyone is allowed to be here, I'm not going to get yelled at? That's good news, and um, I feel better already."

Jane settled on a lounger, and shucked off her shoes, "I guess maybe this wasn't such a bad idea. The weather is still good at least."

"See?" Jazz smiled and took the next lounger over. "I have good ideas sometimes." She grinned and leaned back, sliding her sunglasses down off her head and over her eyes.

Jane toyed with the tie for her dress, uncertain if she should dare to undo it or whether she might be safer hiding under her towel. Nobody seemed to be paying her any mind though, so she took a deep breath, let it out, and undid the dress. The tankini wasn't that revealing, but it was a lot more skin than she would normally show, and even once she'd slid the dress out from under her and folded it neatly into her bag, she still wasn't entirely sure it was a good idea.

"Um, Jazz? Can I ask a really stupid question? But, what is that ship doing in the pool? Is it like, permanent or just for some reason I didn't get to hear about?"

Jazz fiddled with her iPod, slipping an earbud into one of her ears and leaving the other dangling so she could hear what was going on around her.

"Well, if the posters are to be believed, today is some kind of unofficial holiday. 'Talk Like A Pirate Day?'"

"What? Oh, um, yo ho ho and all that huh?" Jane chuckled, "Where do they come up with these ideas. Although the inflatable is a great idea, and probably the kids are having a blast, or are some of those grown ups in disguise as kids?"

Jazz looked over, watching kids and adults alike climbing over and around the giant brightly-colored ship.

"Both. Probably," she smiled and wagged a brow at Jane.

"Well, I might um, go have a little swim? Just, because it would be silly to come up here and not right?" Jane smiled, "But only a swim, no bouncing up and down on that thing, I might sink it, or capsize it or whatever they call it?"

Jazz laughed.

"Jane looked at those big muscly men climbing all over that thing - I somehow seriously doubt little you'd break it. You wanna bounce, go for it. I promise I won't even take incriminating photographs." She smiled innocently.

"No, I'm going for a swim, no bouncing, not on your life!" Jane chuckled, and stood up, then turned and headed for the pool side, where she slipped neatly into the water and started swimming up and down the clear part of the pool. At least in the water she was perhaps less noticeable?

Left to her own devices, Jazz settled back and simply soaked up the warm sunshine.
