Pool house, all day, Talk Like A Pirate Day! Everyone welcome
Technically they shouldn't have put it in the pool, but the Manor could afford to replace it if necessary and it had to be admitted that a genuine floating pirate ship was a lot more fun than one on the grass.

Nick tied it off securely at one side of the pool so the prow was in the shallow end and the stern over deep water for jumping in, and wondered who would be the first to find it. There were plenty of posters up, that was for sure.

{Standard party post - get your pups' scantiest swimmers on and come and say 'Aaaaar'}

On an average night Erin liked to go to Lost and Found over the Lamb, but there was a proximity condition too. "Hmmm... The Lamb is closer, but Lost and Found is easier to get away with things in." She thought out loud to see if he shared opinions and viewpoints with her.

"Oh yeah," Del nodded. "I'll give you that. Lost and Found is very convenient in that respect, but then the Manor is only a step away and that could be very convenient too."

"So I guess t depends on the type of booty you're out to pillage and plunder, aye?" She asked contemplating just that herself.

"Booty," Del said with a lift of his eyebrows. "One of my favourite things."

"Always a fun conquest." She said with a grin as she watched the boys splashing around. "Except when they're attached. Not so fun or attainable then."

"No," Del agreed, "though it depends on the attachment. Some are more - rigid than others."

"Rigidity hasn't been one of my problems here recently." She said with a smirk. She wasn't in anything committed, so she didn't have rules to follow.

Del snickered. "I can imagine," he said, glancing at her sidelong.

Erin wasn't sure if she'd met this man before or not, so she smiled brightly. "I'm Erin, by the way. We haven't met formally, but I've seen you around."

Del shifted and offered his hand. "Del," he said, "Del Avilar, I'm up on seven. I noticed you a time or two as well. Pleased to meet you Erin. What do you do?"

She took his hand and shook not too lightly but not rough either. "I'm a firefighter."

"A firefighter?" Del grinned. "Okay, if you insist. There's other professions I'd have found more believable, but ... hey, does this mean you can run a hundred yards with a hundred and seventy pound man on your back?"

Erin nodded. "I am, and I can do that in the right situations." Adrenaline did a lot of crazy things, and when it came down to life and death her adrenaline kicked in well. "I'd ask if you'd like me to demonstrate, but you don't look like you weigh one seventy and if I ran in this, everybody would be entertained." She said with a laugh.

Del looked away. "Sometimes," he said. "Though it depends what you mean by 'bad'."

Del chuckled and took his time looking her over. "Well maybe one evening, when neither of us are working, we could see about being bad together?"

"I was thinking the horizontal, sometimes vertical, generally naked kind." She said as somebody took a walk off the proverbial plank, dropping into the water next to the ship. "Would you be up for that?"
