Pool house, all day, Talk Like A Pirate Day! Everyone welcome
Technically they shouldn't have put it in the pool, but the Manor could afford to replace it if necessary and it had to be admitted that a genuine floating pirate ship was a lot more fun than one on the grass.

Nick tied it off securely at one side of the pool so the prow was in the shallow end and the stern over deep water for jumping in, and wondered who would be the first to find it. There were plenty of posters up, that was for sure.

The boys laughed and Seth smacked Nick on the arm.

"Oh really now?" Jack said and scanned the pool. There were many lovely ladies - and men - and seeing as how he was off duty he could flirt to his heart's content.

"And we've lost him," Demitri said with a laugh, recognizing the look in Jack's eye as he sought out a conquest. "But we've got the rum."

"Oy!" Jack said, his attention caught again. "Don't hog the rum!"

The bottle passed from hand to hand, bypassing Charlie who they all agreed should remain sober while in charge of Nia. They wouldn't let Nia have any either and she began to pout so Charlie distracted her with a request to find Daddy D, and bounced her away through the shallows.

"Daddy D," Nick said with a shale of he head. "I never thought I'd see the day Deacon was a father, let alone getting ma - er," he coughed. "Need more rum."

They all exchanged looks. Seth of course knew which meant Nick and Zack did as well. Deacon had said enough for Jack to catch on while they'd been talking about the Halloween Ball and Jack might have let something slip while he and Demitri had been enjoying a pleasant smoke one night.

"So - going to the Rainbow tonight," Seth said, breaking the silence and passing the rum around again. "You gonna come Jack?"

"You bet," Jack replied, dropping down to stretch out along the edge of the pool and get a little sun.

	they would probably have managed on their own but Nick's arm snaked under Jack's shoulders to held him on his way, and stop him banging his head on the side of the pool. The splash was a thing of beauty. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Jack resurfaced spluttering and with the wig floating beside him. "Oh you little fuckers!" Jack said - though he was smiling - and floundered in the water a bit until he could get his boots out and fling them over the side of the pool and then struck out after Seth and Zack - who took off with squeals of laughter.
