Pool house, all day, Talk Like A Pirate Day! Everyone welcome
Technically they shouldn't have put it in the pool, but the Manor could afford to replace it if necessary and it had to be admitted that a genuine floating pirate ship was a lot more fun than one on the grass.

Nick tied it off securely at one side of the pool so the prow was in the shallow end and the stern over deep water for jumping in, and wondered who would be the first to find it. There were plenty of posters up, that was for sure.

	"I've got an idea," Deacon said to her and they went to another part of the ship where they were partially hidden from Charlie and Deacon whispered to Nia. She grinned brightly and took what he handed her and then, with a loud whoop, they attacked. Inflatable swords that squeaked when you thwacked something - like Daddy's head - were such fun! 	Charlie said 'Arr' too - except his was more of an 'arrgh' as Nia poked him sharply in the breath. "Oh you tinker," he said and grabbed her and pushed his wet face against her neck. The raspberry was large and loud but not as loud as Nia's delighted shriek. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"You watch her for a sec, I'm gonna take a dip." It was nice and sunny out and he was getting a bit warm. Once he was sure Charlie had a good hold on Nia Deacon went to the edge of the boat and dove over it. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Deacon had left his sword on the 'deck' so charlie picked it up and gave Nia a gentle poke with it.

"Ow," she said, then kept saying it, "ow, ow , ow," while she jumped up and down and waved her own sword at anyone nearby.

"Pirate Nia," said an amused voice and Andy smiled down at Charlie and stooped to hold out her arms to Nia. "It that scurvy swab bullying you?"

"Yes," Nia said and threw herself into Andy's arms. "Daddy baaaaad!" she added, smiling at him

"Oh for shame," Andy picked her up. "I think we girls should go bucaneering while Daddy and Daddy D have a swim. Let's make him walk the plank."

This was soon achieved and Andy and Nia hooted with laughter as Charlie tumbled back into the water then surfaced looking for Deacon..

	"Nia needs girl time," Deacon said with a nod, pulling Charlie a little bit further into the deeper water so that Charlie had no choice but to hold tight to him. "Just like we need boy time." 	Charlie trod water, one arm around Deacon's neck, and if his own hand roved a little, who could blame him? Although he was still somewhat concious that they were in a public place and so couldn't do some of the things his fertile imagination suggested. Far too many straights about.
