Rollerama IV; Saturday night; Lara, OTA, mutiple welcome
The Landlocked City Rollers were back home and ready to fight. Inside Rollerama IV, bleachers were set up and a decent sized and excited crowd filled them. The derby girls were already in their skates and team uniforms, rolling around and greeting their friends.
Before the bout started the refs came out and explained the rules of the game, complete with some demonstrations from the girls. The commentator for the game, a local DJ, then sang an over-the-top rendition of the national anthem. Then the controlled chaos of the bout began, with the girls riding around and around the track, trying to knock the other team away. The home team, cheered on by the majority of the crowd, was doing well at first. They went into halftime leading the game.
After Bruce Campbell for President performed a short set in the middle of the track (with some of the girls riding dancing circles around them), the game resumed. And the Landlocked City Rollers' performance started to go way downhill. It didn't help that player number YT-1300 (also known as Light Freighter also known as Lara) got knocked aside by a much bigger girl, fell over another one, and landed awkwardly on her hand causing a sprained wrist five minutes before the end of the game. Lara was not happy that she had to sit out the rest of the game. And then the Landlocked City Rollers lost by twenty-four points. It was a total bummer. Even so, the crowd didn't seem to care too much. Everyone enjoyed yelling and cheering regardless.
((OOC - Party post rules can apply if you want to talk amongst yourselves in the crowd! Otherwise, Lara can be caught at anytime pre, post, or halfway through the game!))
