keeping busy these past few days! we will announce the hip-hop team soon so if you tried out please be patient. I think I'm going to start reading more often. I just started rereading my copy of Life of Pi by Yann Martel, and it made me realize how enjoyable reading really is. But between work, school coming up, and trying to have a social life, I'm pretty busy! I guess I could skip out on a few things to have more quiet evenings to myself but I was hoping to start volunteering at the animal shelter. I guess I just have a lot of things I want to do and not enough time to do all of it. What I would do for more hours in a day!
I should probably get more information about volunteering before I commit myself. Do any of you volunteer at the Montenegro Animal Shelter? And if so, is there a minimum hour requirement for volunteering? I'm guessing there's probably training to do too... But I really want to do this if I can.

Honestly? I miss the fireworks!
I mean, I love summer and all that, but I think staying here over the summer was the worst decision I've ever made in my life. The fireworks are totally the only exciting that has happened around here all summer and I miss being celebrated! Honestly!
But I guess if I went home to visit my parents I probably would have run into Public School Boy cuz there's no way he's moved out of his parents' house yet so I guess this was the best of all lameass situations.
Stupid summertime. Stupid no fireworks.

I hope this 'honesty' thing wears the fuck off, and soon. I'm tired of hearing stupid shit from customers, and some of my coworkers apparently can't keep their shit together in front of people long enough to not start a scene.
Could I crack and tell a bunch of customers that their inability to maneuver around a grocery store and read a few goddamn signs is the reason I spend my breaks huddled in the break room listening to Car Bomb? Yes.
But I seem to be gifted with the ability to shut the fuck up and vent into something else later. It's amazing. Like, magical and shit.

Besides my job as a professor here I also have a second job creating astrological charts for people. The process, at least for the customer, is a simple one. They tell me what day, month, and year they were born; and what time they were born on that day. I create an extensive chart based on those facts.
I prefer the Egyptian astrology, but use the more known western version to appease the consumers. Just recently I had someone ask me, "If people are born under the same sign, why are they so dramatically different?"
Aside from nature, and other Earthly things; it's also a matter of the Decanates. Every sign is ruled by three Decans. Each Decan is associated with a planet, and an element. The first Decan of a sign is known as the ascending Decan, and is the purest of the sign. The second one is the succeeding Decan, and the third is known as the descending Decan.
Each sign governs 30 degrees. The first rules from 0-9, the second from 10-19, and the third from 20-29. The degrees are also associated with the dates of the sign. Those born in the beginning of the sign will be under the ascending Decan. Those born later will be under either the succeeding, or descending Decan. These will be influenced by the next sign within the same element.
Someone born within 0-9 degrees of Aries will be under the ascending Decan, and ruled primarily by Aries, and the planet Mars. Those born within 10-19 degrees of Aries will be under the succeeding Decan, and ruled by the next fire sign which is Leo, and the Sun. The third group will be the descending Decan, and they are ruled by the final fire sign which is Sagittarius, and the planet Jupiter.
Naturally there are other factors to consider, but the Decanates play a role in astrology. Unfortunately, so many astrologers often forget about that fact.

I've had a lot of fun with Minjung in Seoul. His grandfather reminds me a little of my father, and I'll leave it at that, I think. The rest of the family I've met seem okay, some of them more than others. Like I said, I've had a lot of fun with Minjung. He showed me the city. It smells different than what I remember, but it could be because I lived in Sokcho, not Seoul.
The food... I haven't eaten this good in a while. It's not like you can't get most of this stuff in America, but there's something about eating freshly made kimbap or ordering dalkbal from a pojangmacha.
Even though I think I've gained 50 pounds, I'm glad I came.

Hi guys, I'm currently visiting my family in Korea but I wanted to get to know a few of you already before I actually come to Montenegro. I'm Sam and I'll attend this school come the next semester. My cousin Minjung has told me a lot about this place- only good things of course- and that you're all pretty damn awesome! I take his word for it.
I have a question: I'd love to join some clubs but I'm not sure which ones. I really like music and dancing, so is there anything like that available?

Guys, I'm slowly becoming afraid of leaving my own apartment. Between the shadow monsters and now only telling the truth (a girl asked me if she looked fat in her dress and I was forced to say yes! It was very easy for me not to tell a lie the past few days. I don't think I tell a lot of lies, but don't we all say something we don't mean every once and a while? Like white lies. Comedians joke about this. They use the joke of women asking men if our butts look fat in something. Has anyone ever asked that to a guy? I know I haven't. I have asked if I looked okay. And you know that's the truth since I can't lie.
I need new roommates. Or if someone has a space for me in their apartment, that would work too. I can't live in a one bedroom. It gets too quiet. I can live with al- some people. I can't live with people who are loud at 3 in the morning. I need sleep.

I'm sorry. This summer has been busy. I was working with one of the Astronomy professors on something. I can't say much about it since he wants to keep it inside his belt. Underneath his hat? Either way, he wants to keep it a secret. I don't understand his reasoning, but I won't say anything.
I was also working with a class this summer. Just for the first half. I wanted to pick up more hours at Black Mountain, but their busy season isn't the summer. I don't see why. This place is still beautiful. I guess more people stay at bed and breakfasts in the fall and spring.
So, we should get together. Have a welcome back party or a welcome party for the new people. What do you all think?
