I've been promoted to shift supervisor at the Sports Complex, and as part of my change in job status I'll be running some self-defense classes. If anyone wants to sign up, or volunteer to help with teaching, let me know.

I love when things start going my way. It took a few days worth of pounding the pavement, but I finally got a second job! I start at the campus bookstore this Thursday, and I apologize in advance to whoever ends up getting to train me. Regardless, my dreams of eventually moving out of the dorms to someplace more kitty-friendly will soon become a reality, well, once I find a place I can afford.
I wish I could do something to celebrate my sudden good luck, but I'm working the closing shift at Camelot so unless someone wants to get a late snack at Ambrosia with me I guess that's not happening.

I feel like I've been talking a lot lately, but...I think I just have a lot to say! I finally got my drivers license, though. And I was able to pool my money together and start making car payments. It's not a very nice car or anything, but it definitely works.
That being said, if someone would be really nice and how me where things are around here, that would be pretty much the best thing ever. x) I've been around a little bit, but...I don't know. Having someone to hang around with for a little while sounds really awesome. I don't like to go places alone. It's kind of boring that way. :| And I'd hate to get lost.
So yeah. ^.^; I'm kind of excited.

[Eris was never one to hold back, and she had a hair trigger temper at the best of times. The meeting she'd just had with the academic probationary board had been as disastrous as it ever was, but this time she'd been given an ultimatum. Pass all of her classes for the next semester - and at least one summer class - or she would have to leave.
Normally she'd laugh in their faces at the threat. They hadn't kicked her out yet, so why would they now? But there was a seriousness in the tone that made her pay attention, especially given the reaction to her post about dropping out. It was strange, people actually giving a shit about what she did. People actually wanting her to stick around. She'd grown up with a string of foster parents who hadn't cared, and the state had cared even less. No one had gone looking for her when she disappeared, there was no missing person's report out there for a Penelope Black. And wherever her parents were - they definitely didn't care.
She could tell from the same tone that they didn't think she could do it. That this final warning was just part of the red tape, the last step before expulsion. Well, fuck that for a joke. She was Eris, she was Strife, and she was not a fucking failure. ]
Fuck this for a joke.
So I have to take - and pass - a summer class and all of my classes next semester or I'm going to be kicked out. How the fuck am I supposed to do that.

Finn - So i wanted this cocktail to be something a kid would like and not be soda based because he is a kid. i think cherry topped cake covers that.

Everything has been too quiet. All my family seems to be talking to each other and no one is talking to me. (Yes I do catch glimpses of Riley's computer.) I even live with half of them but I suppose there's always the water.

I wish I could have stayed at the shelter longer, but I'm glad Liron and I were able to provide all the help we could. Despite the losses of their homes, everyone seemed to be keeping strong. A news team came to interview some of them - I was able to watch and ask the crew questions! Ah well, back to the daily grind.

He usually doesn't mind that his birthday is shared with a holiday, but I'd really like to do something for him.
