It sure has been a while since I celebrated July 4th. I have a handful of good memories about the past festivities on American territory.

The weather has been so lovely lately, and I've had quite a bit of free time since I haven't gotten any calls on the job applications that I put in, so I've been spending a lot of time at the lake. Between swimming and working on my tan, it's been quite nice, although I'm starting to think perhaps I'm not in good enough shape for my bikinis since people keep staring. I suppose I'll get used to it, and continue to ignore them unless they say something to me.
I did make a new friend, however. He challenged me to a race and when I won bought me a bottle of water. He's rather pleasant, and said if I wanted he'd help me become a better swimmer. I'll admit, I don't think I take it as seriously as he does, but it's hard to say no when someone's being so helpful and polite.
I really should put more effort into finding a job, though.

So, um, I need some advice! So I met this guy during the black out - he rescued me from a tree! It was so great! - and I want to do something to thank him but I'm not really sure what!
Working two jobs is more tiring than I would have thought! It's been really educational, though, and I'm really enjoying it.

Question for all of you, whether you've figured out who you are or not; how confident would you feel telling people who you are/were if you found out that you were the reincarnate of someone who -- regardless of what you know to be the truth -- was portrayed by historians and writers as evil or villainous? Would that make a difference to you knowing that you might end up having to justify decisions you made back in your original life?
That being said, I'm from a pantheon in which 90% of the women are considered destroyers of mens' lives -- I was one of those women. Feel free to guess who.
