I've been back in Dallas for a few days now, and much as I hate to admit it I think I miss Montenegro. I mean Dallas is lovely, and my family is a delight to be around, but I'm getting a good look at what the future might hold for me here and I don't like it.
While my older sister has a lovely family going I believe our brother and his partner have become the male equivalent of cat ladies. Their little brood are quite adorable, but they refer to them as children, dress them up, and even have special carriages for them. It's... disturbing to say the least, but I suppose if it makes them happy than who am I to complain?
Does anyone want me to bring them back anything from Texas?

So, get this. My fucking biological parents finally get ahold of my cell phone number, right? Turns out they're doing well.
You know why they're doing well? Because I'm not fucking there. Ha. Hahaha. That's so fucking nice of them to tell me. I appreciate the effort it took to do that. FUCK THEM.
But enough about that shit. I've got more pleasant things to be doing, and I'm going to enjoy my fucking spring break despite the metric ton of bullshit. :]

Fuck yeah Spring Break. I still woke up early to go for a run, but then I had nothing to do so I got caught up on some quality boob tubing.
Fuck, I really want to talk with someone about the last episode of 'The Walking Dead', but I don't want to spoil shit for anyone who hasn't seen it. All I'm gonna say is Daryl Motherfucking Dixon is the man, and I've got an epic idea for the camping trip - Nerf weapon war.
Think about it, we'll have a fucking blast. We could make teams of two or three and go marauding through the woods. When are we doing that camping shit anyway?

I've decided I should get a pet. I haven't decided what kind. A dog would be nice since he will make me to go outside more often. But I don't like picking up after he does his...business. A cat would be nice too. She will curl up with me while I read. Also, she takes care of her business on her own, so all I have to do is clean the litter box.
So, should I get her or him?
In other news, I had a fun weekend. It's the busiest I've been since I finished graduate school! Thank big thank you to Maddie and Liam for making my weekend an enjoyable one.

I don't think it's any surprise winter is my favorite season. Now it seems to be ending and I hate to see it go.
It does mean walking the dogs is less of a chore, however, which I won't ever complain about.

Hey, kids. How are you all enjoying your break? I hope you've gotten a start on that 20-page thesis paper I assigned on Friday, just before you all left the classroom. It's due bright and early on Monday, first thing.
Just kidding. I would never do that to you kids. I hope plenty of you are out on the beach, getting out of this landlocked state and catching some waves. Of course I am not, because I'm here grading the essays I really did assign you. Damn my big fat mouth.
While I'm sure all of you are behaving in a stellar manner, I thought I'd throw you a question to help you exercise your minds until you get back: One of the basic ideas of ecology is that everything, big or small, has an impact on everything else. In the future, what would you like your impact on the world to be?

I ended up deciding to stay on campus. It's just easier that way, less expensive, and I feel like spending time learning my way around the campus and town would be a good use of my time. Perhaps if I'm feeling ambitious I'll attempt to see a new movie each day, or even try a new place to eat. There are so many possibilities.
If anyone else is on campus and would like some company do feel free to let me know.
