It seems everyone's gotten caught up in Valentine's Day fever in one sense or another. It's obvious people either tolerate it or loathe it, in fact I have yet to see anyone who unabashedly enjoys the day. I'm sure there's at least one person out there who's truly excited about Valentine's Day, but perhaps they're hiding out of fear of getting lynched.
It's not me, though that's more because Valentine's Day has always been a simple day of candy and small gifts between friends where I'm from.
I think I've discovered my new favorite breakfast, possibly even better than banana-walnut muffins - chocolate paninis. They're so good, but I don't think I could eat it every day. They're a bit on the decadent side.

Fuck my life. I'm done with today. I hate wallowing in self-pity, but sometimes it just feels good.
Screw this, I need a drink. Anyone want to go see a band in town with me? I know a group that's playing, they're pretty good but the bassist is a tool. I'm heading out in an hour, and I'll buy the first round.
edited to add - the rounds will be non-alcoholic, I swear.

I'm so amazingly, incredibly happy, and I don't care who knows. I want to shout from the rooftops about how fantastic and wonderful things are, and tell everyone all about the person who made me feel this way, but I'm sure that could get annoying real fast and considering some of the things people have been saying about Valentine's Day I doubt they'd want to hear it. I can keep it to myself, I'm good like that.
Instead, I'm just going to bask in this awesome while I try to think up ways to show him how ecstatic he's made me! I know I can come up with some great ideas... I've got lots of time!
