I'd like to turn to a type of song that people like myself find ourselves subjected to with increasing frequency as time goes on, and that is the college alma mater. You'll find yourself at a reunion of grads, and old undergrads, and eh... somebody will start croaking out one of these things and everyone will gradually join in -- each in his own key, of course -- until the place is just soggy with nostalgia. Well, a typical such song might be called Bright College Days, and might go like this. Bright college days, O carefree days that fly, To thee we sing with our glasses raised on high. Let's drink a toast as each of us recalls Ivy-covered professors in ivy-covered halls. Turn on the spigot, pour the beer and swig it, and gaudeamus igit-ur. It's nice when the campus is full of students. It brings life back to the place though I don't like crowds.

I am going to have a meeting for the geological society in the second week of classes so we can begin organising outings for the early spring.

There are some lame people in this dorm. With no fashion sense. I have clearly been sent to save them.

Everyone keeps talking about clubs but I haven't seen any yet that I am interested in. Maybe a sorority would work for me.

I'm bored. Someone entertain me.

The campus is filling up which is exciting! Though I will never attempt to make a welcome cake again. Not without a box mix anyway. Apparently I do not have the skills to use recipes randomly taken from the internet.

For those who don't know me, I'm Peter, otherwise known as the archangel Raphael. I teach medicine as well as abnormal psychology and I hope to get to know you soon!

I want to get a kitten. Does anyone want to go with me to get one?

I've run into a slight problem, of the baking variety. I decided it would be fun to make some apple spiced fritters, but I've made far more than I intended to. Would anyone like a dozen? Or two...?

Good evening, all.

To those of you who are returning to Montenegro, welcome back to Residence, but to those who are new to the university, I'm your welcoming committee. My name is Sebastien, and I'll be the second floor RA for the rest of the year. I'm one of four other RAs that will be looking after you. What this means is that for the remainder of the year, our job is to supervise, counsel, and guide all of you through a successful school year. If any of you have concerns or questions, please direct them our way. We'll do what is in our power to make sure you enjoy your stay in Residence.
