Tiff slipping in amidst her procrastination (five papers down... six to go... sob).

Here is my newbie, Kishijoten, the goddess of luck and fortune and geishas from Shinto! She takes form this lifetime as Leilani Chwa, a Hawaiian native but the daughter of two Korean ex-pats. Her mother was an opera singer and her father a famous violinist, and Leilani herself is a beautiful singer and dancer who has dreams of making it big on Broadway (majoring in Music – vocal performance gal). Despite being a tiny Asian girl, she's got the big, powerful voice, and she's a little bit of a ham for the spotlight. Other character traits: she's flirty, perky, nonjudgmental, but very spoiled and a bit self-absorbed. She was bullied hardcore because it came out in high school that she was a reincarnate, and so she has issues with that. But for the most part, she just likes to be friends and be cool with people. She also works at Muddy Waters, so co-workers, have at her! Better explanation of her goes here.

Character relationships I had briefly talked about before apping her were: bff with Renpet and Tanuki, ex-girlfriend for Bakeneko, roommates with Medea...? But I think she'll be moving into housing come this fall.

If you volunteered your character for Hnoss to mess around with them, here's the plan: this Friday, your character, if listed below, will be in Muddy Waters at the same time as Beau... and everyone else. She's going to get a random spike of energy (since she can't control it), and as a result, everyone will walk away with a new crush. These crushes will last until Wednesday or Thursday, whichever you prefer first.

Seeing as Beau won't have any idea she did anything, feel free to have EVERYONE confused in the aftermath as to wtf just happened. And feel free to use this post to plot!

Hi guys. So I was hoping to play more with Beau's powers. They are the following:

I've Got A Crush On You – Being the goddess of infatuation, Beau can inspire temporary feelings of aforementioned infatuation between two individuals. She can even inspire them in someone else towards herself. Unfortunately, she has yet to take total control of this, and thus it ends up that she can't really make it useful... and it ends up in a few tight situations more often than not...

Beauty Is In The Eye Of The Beholder – Being a beautiful goddess herself, Beau will appear attractive to all people no matter what the state of her person is. She could roll around in mud and people will still think the sun shines out of her ass. Maybe she was born with it? Maybe it's Maybelline.

Sensual Seduction – She is also the goddess of sensuality. Sometimes even the most mundane of actions will trigger a "reaction" in whoever is near-by. Meaning that Beau could simply be drinking a cup of coffee and some poor unlucky bastard is going to get really turned on. Again, no control over this. Why would I do that when this is a potentially hilarious plot device?

if anyone would like to have their character be the victim be affected by any of these, lmk! I am in search of plot for Beau. OKAY, THAT'S ENOUGH GUYS. :D

Hey cuties! I was thinking of apping another character – Kishijoten, Shinto goddess of luck and beauty. She's going to be pretty perky and probably a vocal performance major since her PB has major pipes (and it is super adorable guys, she says 'rissen' at the end and my heart melts) and how can I not take advantage of that?! Anyways, besides that, I'm still doing a rough draft of her personality, but she'll probably be pretty irresponsible and kiddish...

That being said, LOOKING TO FILL SOME CR FOR YOU GUYS. Anyone need a little sister? Bff? Ex-girlfriend? Rival? Big sister? ANYTHING, REALLY. Roommate?

If no one wants her as a sibling, I'm probably going to have her be from Hawaii, JSYK. :D

HELLO GUYS. So this is a solicitation, if you will. Applications open tomorrow, and so I was hoping someone might be interested in applying for Nobu's little sisters? All of them were born in Hawaii, except for the youngest, who was born in Tokyo (because they had moved there already). They are probably the only people that Nobu is openly fond of (as much as Nobu can be openly fond of someone), and I imagine they would all have mixed feelings on him: perhaps doting in their own way, annoyed, apathetic, even? It's up to you!

I think it would be lovely if they were in other pantheons as well. At the moment, they are listed as Maiko (born in '85), Sora (born in '87), and Ayane (born in '90), but all of these details are flexible so long as they are 1) younger than Nobu and 2) Ayane is born in the 90s when the Inoue family was already located in Japan.

AND THERE ARE SO MANY POSSIBILITIES FOR PBS SERIOUSLY.

Last but not least, THEIR PARENTS ARE TOTALLY AWESOME. AN EX-ROCK STAR AND A RESTAURANT OWNER. And they are adorable and goofy parents. TELL ME YOU WOULDN'T LOVE THEM.

• this has to do with her power, which makes people think she looks like the hottest thing to walk out of chemistry even when she's got sweats and unwashed hair. other fun powers for plottiness: inspires temporary feelings infatuation between two people, can also inspire them towards herself, only lasts a day or two; mundane actions will suddenly be sexy and she can turn people on just by picking up her pencil WITHOUT the bend and snap; and she can't even control these powers, so they can happen at any time! woo.

Joining the onslaught of new characters: this fine piece of work is Austin Reese. Some of you might be more familiar with his first incarnation, which was Aengus, he of Celtic legend, all poetry and health and being pretty damn awesome, if he does say so himself. If you need to be briefed on his history, I point you here and here – he doesn't have a particularly extensive history, but it's worth a read in order to reconcile Austin's seemingly dichotomous interests.

Austin is twenty-three and about a year behind on his degrees, which are for English and Biology – he has aspirations for being both an author and a doctor, which is real rich coming from a high school football player who found his academic footing fairly late in the game (being awakened to the fact he's a reincarnation helped out, ngl). He's a senior, but he took the previous year off to work on his novel – which has been fairly successful, surprisingly, but might be aided by the fact that Aengus is known for poetic inspiration. He grew up in southern California (nobody calls it SoCal, guys) in Pasadena, which is this awesome city nestled in between Glendale, Burbank, and Los Angeles, and now I'm just waxing poetic on the areas of my childhood, sob. ANYWAYS – he has slightly eccentric parents in rl, a mother who can't cook and a father who has the spine of a beetle meaning not at all, and a younger brother that has always been pretty sickly and basically needs his big brother to protect him. Holden is kind of the apple of Austin's eye (originally, Holden was going to be a sister, but I think we need more menfolk at Monte!).

Personality-wise, Austin can be summarized as a slightly dense boy who balances out his swagger-y arrogance with a good dose of practicality, leadership skills, and hard work. He may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but he'll last much longer than anyone out in the game, and once he's fixated his mind on something, he's going to get it through hell and high water. However, he's terrible about feelings and prefers not to talk about them because he gets embarrassed, and despite having had girlfriends, his knowledge of how to date and love is a bit of a fail – which is hilarious, coming from a guy who represents ~lurve~. He falls in love with practically every girl he meets and then falls out of love with them just as quickly once he realizes they are not perfect. That being said, he's an endearing, fumbling, yelling mess, not innocent like Chris because the game does NOT need two of him dear god, but even worse because he usually ends up frustrated and confused. He has a huge syndrome of foot-in-mouth, basically.

Powers include: turning into a swan, having the best immune system in the world, and triggering poetic/artistic inspiration.

This might seem a bit sudden, but I've been thinking about this for a bit. Harumi just really hasn't panned out the way I liked characterization-wise and so I've decided to drop her in favor of apping someone. Basically, the more I play her, the more I don't like how she's turning out, haha -- it's not even a matter of plot happening so much as it is I don't like how I'm playing her, if that makes sense. And I've obviously been trying to make her work for me, but I just... yeah. No dice.

Don't fret, guys; I'm still around! But... yeah. It's been something I've been mulling over quietly and my attempts to try and rectify her just sort of make it worse so... :(

bastet. philomene deslisle. Phil is a comparative literature graduate student living off-campus with her two cats. She is feisty, fierce bitch-lioness, very loud, very in-your-face. She can be selfish and self-indulgent, but she has her heart mostly in a good place. She was raised in the French Antilles (specifically St-Martin), where her parents run a very posh restaurant for tourists, and she was educated in Lyon for her undergraduate. Incidentally, she is cousins with Marcel (Behemote) & good friends with Zeke (Leviathan)! Things she does: spoken word & soon, the lit magazine! Once I set up lmao. after I finish rl hw.

mary magdalene. ava sullivan. Raised by two fathers in Russia, the adopted daughter of two ex-pats (one an ESL teacher, the other a Slavic Studies professor). She's always been kind of bitter and guarded towards others, especially because her family wasn't exactly the kind to slip under the rug in a fairly conservative society. She admires the practical and what she can see and (as of yet) is not religious. She is also an adulteress, tying into that interpretation of her myth, and just broke up with her fiance after caught cheating. She's a Chemistry graduate student AND the fourth R.A.! She's also a bit sickly and suffered from epilepsy as a child, but hasn't had an attack in years – this is a reference to the seven demons cast out of Mary, wink wink.

konohanasakuya-hime. harumi shimizu. Fine arts undergraduate. Lives in housing! Raised in Tokyo with her fraternal twin sister, who could always be another reincarnate (next app cycle, anyone~?). Her father is a former Olympian, her mother an airline attendant, and she spent most of her time trying to be the VERY, VERY BEST. But then, it turns out, sometimes it's just nice to be who you are, and so instead of pushing her nose to the grindstone academically, she's capitalizing on her talent with painting, particularly in the nihonogo style of Japan. She is a member of the gardening club and the soon-to-be-made animanga club!

HEY GUYS. So I just got photoshop!! and I hope to get better at it. So I was hoping you guys could help me out by giving me prompts! There are about 2374834792 different ships in this game so if you guys would like a fancy graphic to look at and stuff, just tell me and give me like a little prompt. Just one word like 'castle' or song lyrics or whatever, so I have a starting point. NOTE: I JUST GOT THIS SO I'M NOT THE BEST, BUT I'M WORKING ON IT.

This is Tiff and Tenjin. Akinobu Inoue (or Nobu, as more people are wont to refer to him) wants tenure. He just finished his PhD in philosophy (specializing in ETHICS, so that means he thinks about morality so you don't have to) at Harvard and just recently started teaching at Montenegro. Previously, he got his undergrad at Tokyo University. He grew up in Hawaii and Okinawa, has three younger sisters, and prefers books to people. I will have his syllabus up soon, but he teaches one course atm: Topics in Moral Philosophy: Theories of the Good. Besides that, you can often find him in the library or his office doing near frenetic research about his interests or looking pissed off because his ex-wife left him for another man (OH WAIT TOO SOON?!).

He doesn't like people like him (misanthropic loners prone to fits of depression and paranoia) and instead admires the bubbly and warm personalities of the world. He respects no one except those who deserve it. He is going to shake his mighty fist at the professors here and ask for PROFESSIONALISM, DAMN IT.

Also: tenure. But that's already been mentioned.

BUT ANYWAYS, ONTO THE INTERESTING BIT: This is Galahad. Or rather, Christopher (Robin) Poe. He goes by Chris. He's a rather quiet, humble guy, still growing into his adult self, sort of hesitant about it, and feeling quite burdened by the largeness of his myth. He thinks it's a bit ridiculous that he's actually the great knight ever, after all. I mean, look at him! Besides that, he's a Military student, and he lives in housing. He also attends prayer circle (he's a good, Christian lad!) and also boxes regularly. He is quite into boxing.
