Hey! It's Nye. I just wanted to say that Uzume is back. This time, her name is Areum Sagong, Amatsu-Mikaboshi's aunt. And, yes, they're only four years apart. So, they're more like cousins or friends. And she still loves her big brother. They just have nothing in common.

She's getting her M.F.A. in dance and works part-time at the Wellness Center as a receptionist. She's been here since this summer. Before that, she was in LA doing her dance thing in various music videos, movies, TV shows, commercials, where ever she could get money. Before that, she was touring around the world with her dance troupe for two years. She got her B.F.A. at Monte, so professors, students, and others who were here from 2005-2009 can know her.

She's more outgoing, brash, will make rash or hasty decisions, and more of a sexual being than before. She doesn't really open up to people, but she'll be there for others. She's not a selfish person. You can read more about her here.

Okay... So, this guy is Hector or Ian Ostermann. He's here because his wife is a professor (Anthropology). She's been here since last semester, so feel free to know her. He came over in March, but he's been seen on campus more this summer, because he got a job in the maintenance department. Part-time only. He will be a freshman in the fall! Again, part-time.

The reason why he's 30 and a freshman is because he was in the Marines. Fighting oversees. He came home because he was ordered to. He left the Marines because he loves his wife (and son - 3 years old) and now it's her turn to pursue her dream. It's not exactly easy to go from Gunnery Sergeant to Mr. Mom. It's also not easy for him to speak about being Hector. You just don't talk about that stuff in the Marines (or at least he didn't). But he's going to try!

Powers? He's a great fighter. He can't beat Ares, but he can win against others. People listen to him, and he doesn't even have to try. But that depends on how well a person likes him. Achilles isn't going to care what this guy says. And, he can't get any minor cuts and scrapes.

Hello! This is Nye. And this is Yu Jin.


She is also Chang'e. She was as curious as Pandora, and it got her a one way ticket to the moon.

Yu Jin was born in Korea to Korean parents then moved to China, Hunchun to be specific. Both parents work, and they are a lower class family. She has a younger sister who will join her soon. They get along when they get along, don't when they don't. Typical sister stuff. Her life has been pretty normal despite what a couple of her powers can do to her. She realized who she was when chasing a hare. She is a grad student (3rd year) studying Astronomy, and is a TA in the intro/gen ed Astronomy classes. She also works part-time at the Black Mountain Bed & Breakfast. She needs a roommate or two, which she will be asking about in game. She's been here since freshman year, so feel free to know her. Sheli, Bakeneko can still be an ex-boyfriend, yes? And she will be friends with the people already talked about on monte_extras.

For the personality side of things, Yu Jin is friendly, outgoing, and very much thinks like this:


She's seen a lot of romantic comedies/dramas in her day. She's also curious like crazy, hangs on to people/clingy, and can be selfish and jealous about objects and people. Yu Jin likes to be in a crowded room, but she's constantly wondering what they think of her. Also, she gets a bit lonely when not around people. And her biggest fear is dying.

As for her powers:

GLOWING: Yu Jin glows. It's a whitish glow, like the moon in the dark sky. People can only see her glow in dark places like a darkened room or at night. The lighter the darkness is, the harder it is to see it.

FLOAT ON: She can also float. It's only after she eats. She can't float far away like she did before, but she will hover two feet off the ground. She can also walk while floating, it's just harder to do than having feet on solid ground. It will take her an hour after eating for her to come back down.

BEAUTY: Yu Jin can make others beautiful for 24 hours. This happens through touch and people have to ask her for it, and she doesn't ask for anything in return. However, she doesn't gloat about this power, but there are a few people she will tell, so word can spread. After she touches someone, the person will become a more beautiful version of themselves. Blemishes, cuts, moles, a crooked nose, anything that might distract from the person's beauty will disappear or be repaired for those 24 hours.

That guy is Kappa AKA Kazuo Nishimura, cousin to Ren and Ayumi Ito. He was raised by his father, because his mother wasn't reliable and she pretty much took one look at him and ran. It could be because he has webbed hands and feet. Who knows. Kazuo doesn't care. He's had a fine time with his dad.

He lives off campus (currently without roommates, so if you're a guy, step on up...ladies need not apply). He's in the Pre-Physical Therapy track (going to be a senior this fall). He's in MMA, wrestling, and swimming. He has taught himself to hold his breath underwater for 7 minutes. Um... his personality is pretty long, but he's mischievous (will play pranks, fart around people, anything for instant gratification), has dark thoughts about women and children (will make children cry, and want to do not nice things to women), has killed a few small animals in his time, fights men (but not all the time), and will steal from anyone. Despite this, Kazuo is polite. He's also something of a coward. He's an average kid at school, except for medical classes, but will play dumb (unless it relates to anything medical or MMA, wrestling, or swimming...then he brags, showboats). He does like to be around people, but he doesn't get close to anyone, because he can be the bad guy. (It's something he struggles with daily.)

His power are:

He can become hydrated faster than normal people, so he's always seen with water or in water.

Give him a cucumber and ask him to do something and he'll have to do it. Or make him promise you something. That works too. It'll be done within 24 hours. And you can't make him kill/hurt himself.

He can drain people's and animal's energy. It's through skin to skin contact, and Kazuo has to actively think about draining their energy. He also has to hold on to the person continuously. It can't be a quick touch and the other person is suddenly drained of their energy. Also, this doesn't kill someone.

I wanna introduce her before I go to bed. This is Elaine of Corbenic. In this life she's Sam/Terps' older sister. And her name is Haylie. She recently moved here from Cambridge, MA. She's smart and pretty, tough and a bit manipulative, and she's in law school.

Her powers are being pretty. The only person she can't stack up to is Guinevere. And a golden chalice follows her around (she can't get rid of it) and it can heal people. Minor stuff only. She doesn't tell anyone about this grail, but she does tell people she's Elaine of Corbenic. She's very excited to meet people. And Lancelot.

And I just spelled graphic with an 'f', but then I fixed it because I didn't want to look stupid. And I wanted to image map the links, but they wouldn't work right and I spent 3 hours trying to make it work before I gave up and made it all stupid spiffy links. And I want to explain my song choices because I don't think they make sense anymore. But I'm not gonna. Unless you ask nicely. And then I'll give you a 3 page paper on it. It's Nye with my final character, Nut, the Egyptian sky goddess.

She's Juliette McNamara (27), and very much the responsible adult of the McNamara siblings. She has all the qualities of a first born, a perfectionist, and can't stand failure. She's everyone's mother, which means you get the good nurturing side and the bad overprotective side. Her siblings and daughter get it worse than anyone else. (Watch out myth family...she's coming after you.) She doesn't do the bad stuff. For example, drinking. Juliette is a happy person, but she's a people watcher in crowds. She's more open to her family, though, but they'll never get the truth about what she's feeling. When talking to someone, she's direct and upfront and wishes everyone could be that way and is a little frustrated that they're not. She's a supporter of gay rights, and will spend some time at the LGBT club when she can.

As previously mentioned, she does have a daughter. Her name is Jacqueline Janine or J.J. (because, as the first grandchild, she had to keep the J-name tradition), and she is 10 years old, which means there was one time in her life Juliette wasn't so responsible. But everyone makes mistakes. Juliette loves her daughter like no body's business.

At MU, she works full-time at the Bursar's Office in Accounts Receivable Office (get gets the student's payments/process them). She's also going to school part-time; she's an Art major (Studio Arts) and Art Education. Her focus is more drawing and painting than anything else.

As for her powers, she has tiny points of light all over her body. It's hard to see in them in brighter lights, but in a dim/dark room, on a cloudy day, and a night, they show up clearly. These lights represents the stars in the sky, and she does have all the major constellations on her body. Also, the dead are attracted to her. She can't see or hear them, but she knows when they are around her; she just feels it. No one will see her talking to them, Juliette only says things to them when she's on her own.

Hello! This is Nye. With Raphael the Archangel.

In this life, he's Holden Reese, Austin's little brother. He's 19, new to college life, and is majoring in Music, specifically Music Theory & Composition, and mostly plays the violin and piano. He wanted to be a doctor like his brother (or a vet), but that's just not in the cards, which is still very hard for him to take. And why can't he be a doctor? Because he gets sick a lot (what he has is in his backstory), so that means he'll probably miss a lot of classes, but he's going to push himself harder than before because he doesn't want to leave. He's a pretty easy going guy who loves to tell jokes. He does not have wings, and he struggles with this along with other things relating to Raphael. It's explained better in his profile here.

His powers are:

Healer Holden can heal humans and animals with minor ailments. If a person or animal has a headache, the flu, cuts and scrapes, small fractures, easily healable ailments such as that or something a person might need a quick over the counter drug or simple antibiotics, he can heal them. If the person or animal broke a leg, has asthma, or has cancer, then he will not be able to help them. To heal, he places his hands over the cut/scrape, head, the fracture, where the sickness is (like strep throat - over the throat) for only a couple of minutes. He says a prayer, but it's not necessary for the healing. (It's just something he does now.) For cuts, scrapes, or fractures, the healing happens instantaneously. When it comes to sickness, the person or animal will feel better in a couple of hours, three tops. He cannot heal the mind or the spirit with this power.

Travel He is always lucky when it comes to traveling, and those traveling with him will be lucky too. That means no lost baggage, no turbulence on planes, no flat tires when it comes to cars. Your vacation will be darn near perfect. However, it doesn't work at Vegas (or Atlantic City). If you loose your money gambling, that's not his fault. However, you might find an extra $5 or $10 in your pants pocket afterwards. Who knows?!

Light When he is around light, it turns a slight green color, a pale kelly green, not a puke green. It only happens with electrical light, so the sun won't ever turn a green tinge. The color is different just enough that people notice the difference. Other angels and demons can see it with more intensity. To them, it will look more kelly green.

Since he's brand spanking new, there really won't be much to talk about in terms of friends and enemies in the past, but I'm up for anything happening in the future! He's going to be in the Animal Rights Club, Music Club, Prayer Club, and Yoga Club, if that helps.

This is Paxton. As mentioned on my plot thread dealie below, he's Paimon's son and Helen's younger brother. He's not into the theater scene, but he does like something of an audience. He's your average man slut slacker jokester dude. He doesn't like to do work unless it has to do with his studies (and even then he'll slack off to the last minute). But he does love Neuroscience. And he works at a sleep clinic, which he does enjoy. For various reasons. He blows things out of proportion, whether it be a crazy tale or a ding on his car. He'll be finishing up his first year of grad school.

He's also Phobetor, the god of nightmares. He absolutely LOVES walking into people's dreams and scaring the crap out of them (and scaring people in general). He can do this only if you know him. If your character has a class with him and knows what he looks like, then Phobetor will be there when you sleep. If you are some random student he's barely seen, he won't be able to get into your dreams. He can be any animal or creature. This means he can make up a scary crazy thing. His other spiffy power is that he can change into any animal. He just has to have some knowledge of the way they look. And the animals include all in the animal kingdom, so he can play with the wolves, the birds, and can be that freaky lookin' bug in your room. He just can't push it longer than two hours as it drains a lot of energy.

As for stuff I want... He needs flings, friends (both guys and girls even though he'll want to sleep with the girl if he hasn't already), people who can't stand him, disc golf teammates, and anything else. You can comment here or my area of the plot dealie. His info his HERE.

This is Seungwon. Yes, the Seungwon. Minjung's Seungwon. He was at UCLA, but decided to come to MU, a process that took a while because he doesn't jump into anything without thinking about it for a while. Unless it's something along the lines of what to eat for dinner. He's the opposite of Minjung, and is fine being on the sidelines with a smile. Seungwon tries to be a joker sometimes, but he's really not. He has a sense of humor, but his more serious side doesn't like to see him make a fool of himself. Anger is an easy emotion to portray for him other than happiness.

He's Mug Ruith, but he doesn't know this. He just knows it has to be someone powerful because he likes the feel of the power he gets being a project or club leader. It's really the only time when he'll take the reigns on something, become outspoken. His powers include growing to 8 feet. This happens at least once a week. Like a good stretch. There is no control over this. He can make people freeze like a stone statue if he's angry. He has no control over this either. If he's angry about a class, then talks to someone, it can happen. It only lasts an hour. Still, he's very sorry about that. What he does have control over is his parlor trick, making water or water based liquids disappear. He's happy to show this to anyone.

He's also blind. He's big on rights for those who are gay and those with disabilities, which means he's in LGBT Club and STAnD (Students Talking About Disabilities), where students with disabilities advocate for themselves and others. Those without disabilities are welcome to join too. I'll be making a club dealie for that soon. He doesn't like being helped because of his disability, even if someone is just being nice. It rubs him the wrong way.

It's Nye! All that love produced this guy, Váli AKA Eli.

He's Odin's son, the one who was born just to kill Höðr for accidentally killing Baldr. Eli knows this, but he doesn't talk about it openly. He hates that he was only born because of the need for revenge. He has read that it was necessary, but it still doesn't make it easy for him.

As for the rest of Eli, he's a devout Christian. He attends church every Sunday, attends Prayer Circle, and does his own daily devotions. His father is the Youth Paster back home (just outside of Denver), and Eli was a part of the choir. Yes, he does hand out Bibles and pamphlets, but he doesn't push it in your face if you don't want one. He is confused as to why he's Váli and why God brought him back. Or even how that all works out. (And where he'll end up.)

Death has been on his mind for a while. His mother had cancer and then passed away just after his high school graduation. So, he stayed home for a year and took care of his father and three siblings (two sisters and a brother, all younger), which is why he's a 20 year old freshman.

He's thinking about Political Science or Biology (Pre-med), but hasn't decided. Throughout school he was in Judo, but is now in MMA. It's a stress reliever, and he handles himself pretty good despite being a thin 6'1" guy.

Because of his powers, he is a great marksman, and he will avenge those who are harmed physically. It could be as simple as a stern talking to up to a beat down. It is very much in conflict with his Christian side.

Eli is brave, protective, will offer advice and can be a nag, will use proverbs and idioms in every day conversations, does try to look on the bright side of life, very competitive and loves to win, can be a bit naive or misled in certain situations, and is scared of school, women, and death. With school, he's afraid of failing out and can't stand getting that B when he could have gotten an A (and will bug professors about extra credit and such). With women, he can't really talk to them if he finds them attractive unless it's online or he has his trusty guitar. Yep, he's THAT college guy. The one with the guitar in the quad strumming along to Oasis. It's also a stress reliever. Oh! And he's a total dork. (Not a nerd, because he's not super smart.) There's a blurb about it all in his profile, but The Big Bang Theory is his show, man.

It's Nye again. This is Nicholas Craine AKA Sir Agravaine. It rhymes. He does not like that. So feel free to tease him about it. Also, he's not a Nick. His name is Nicholas. He's better than you. His info is here.

He's 32. From Berkshire, England. Went to Eton College. Was in the the British Army. Not in it anymore because he was hit so bad by enemy fire/bombs, he has a metal rod in his leg (femur). This causes him to limp sometimes. It can get painful. Ladies, he's got scars. (Explained in bio.) He drinks; you can call him a high-functioning alcoholic. It's to combat the PTSD (undiagnosed since he won't talk about it). He smokes. Because he can. He went to Oxford. Came to Montenegro for graduate school and to work toward his Ph.D. He will become a professor. Currently, he teaches an introductory History class. His specialty is Military History, but likes all History. (Want to see him act like a school boy? Get him talking about history. Then he'll hate you for doing that to him, but that's okay.)

He's on his eleventh life. Has come to hate Agravaine. It's because of him he's repeating life after life. And the fact he won't live past 50 pisses him off. An arrogant ass who will get what he wants by any means. Don't insult him or he'll come back with something. He'll hold the grudge, come at you when you least expect it. Dry humor; doesn't laugh at things much anymore. He does have a heart, but doesn't really want to get close to a woman, marry, have kids because he'll just die on them. Doesn't think that's right. He will protect his family and close friends. Respects those who served. And stays close to professional contacts and mentors.

The powers. He is compelled to help those in need. It can't say no or walk away. He's tried. There has been instances where he's helped old ladies cross the street. If there is a burning building and someone's dog is still in the house. He will have to go save the dog. He is also handsome, so women are captivated by this. Men can be too, but women more. It's like women get an instant crush on him.

He came to America in 2010, so he's fairly new, but he'll know anyone from that time to now. So, feel free to know him, give him a "friend" or a real friend. Since he's not a fan of Agravaine, he won't go spreading that around, but if the characters have known each other for a while or if in the Arthurian pantheon, then maybe they know? I dunno. We'll talk.

Hello, all! It's Nye. And this is Demeter or Laura Schreiber.

She is Flauros' older sister. (She's 28, but will soon be 29 in 5 days.) Because of her brother's poking and prodding, she applied and got into grad school for Nutrition and Dietetics. She hasn't started yet; the summer semester marks her return to the academic setting. She decided to come out to Montenegro early. She has a small apartment and works at Olive Our Gardens, a nursery. She loves to garden, and will have some kind of fruit, vegetable, and herb growing somewhere.

She knows she's Demeter, but it was a recent discovery (about three years ago). She was hospitalized for severe depression after the sudden death of her two month old son, and that is when everything came flooding in. It was the first time she was hospitalized for her depression. When she was a teenager, she was diagnosed with Seasonal Affective Disorder, but none of the treatments helped. After realizing who she was, she figured out why she was depressed during the fall and winter months.

She is divorced. They tried, but their marriage couldn't survive the death of a son and Laura's talks of being Demeter among other things.

Her powers include listening to plants (they don't speak to her, but somehow she knows when they need to be watered, pruned, picked, etc.), being effected by the seasons (this happens gradually; she won't wake up one morning and BAM! depressed...right now, she's starting to come out of her winter depression...and the plants around her will feel it too...it's explained better in her app), and she makes the best damn breads ever. And she shares.

I'm not going to say much more, but Laura is fun (she doesn't like parties but smaller outings), loves the outdoors (playing in the dirt is a good thing), a girly-girl (she likes to get dressed up and will cry from watching animal creulty commercials), stubborn (when she puts her foot down, she means it), can get crazy angry (mess with her brother and find out), can't flirt or pick it up in others, and can get lost while driving.

Hello, all! This is Nye, and I'm just popping in to say I picked this lovely lady up.

She's Bethany, Beth, or Hel. She doesn't care which you call her. She's a little creepy as she will be seen walking or sitting around campus talking to the dead. Or nodding. Or smiling. It's a half smile. Her actual smile looked like Mr. Bing's here:



But it looks more like a smile now.

Her mother and father both didn't exactly want her, so she didn't get a lot of love. People in school weren't the kindest because she didn't act like everyone else, so she got angry. And snarky. And passive aggressive. And lonely. She'll yell back at people, but she won't fight them. She'll then turn it all on her or inanimate objects. She tries talking to at least one person a week without all the snark and anger, but it ends up being someone online more often than not. And people are only nice to her because they're up to something. Or so she believes. HAPPY!!! XDDD people scare her. She likes video games, especially first person shooters. She will also "stalk" people to feel like she's hanging out with them. She gives to charity because that's what she was told to do way back when (share her provisions). She does like the fact that the dead talk to her and she talks to them. Oh! She also changes this dark purplish color (like bad frostbite) at night. Every night. From sundown to sunup, so there's no hiding it.

Why, hello there. Tis I, Nye! (HA! I rhymed! Nye needs sleep.) Coming with me is this guy, Benedick Cooper, AKA Ben, AKA Eros, the god of love. He's a Psychology student. He loves mischief, especially if he's the one behind it. And how does he get behind it? By shooting his arrows, of course. This time around, he draws his arrows with gold or brown pens/markers. (The names of the people he's playing with are written on the arrow.) Gold means love; brown means indifference. His arrows can last up to 48 hours. He takes $10 per arrow, if anyone wants to hire him. Discounts and deals are negotiable. His favorite music is sung by Sinatra, Fitzgerald, and sometimes Buble. He dresses in button down shirts, ties, slacks. He's in love with love and is searching for THE ONE.

He is also a openly gay man, and he's a part of the LGBT Club. JOIN!!! There are a couple of upcoming events to look forward to!

See her? She's Ai Koizumi. The sister of Rin Koizumi and the former wife of Akinobu Inoue. She's also Ame-no-Uzume-no-Mikoto, but you can call her Uzume. She recently took a job as a Nurse Practitioner at the Wellness Center (like at the beginning of February recently), so she's pretty new to the campus and Colorado (she was living in Boston and before that Japan). Her powers include being able to persuade people to do what she wants, making everyone in a 10ft radius of her happy in some form or another, and making a party get a bit crazy. (She can also get a bit crazy herself....just wait 'til you see her on karaoke night.)

Hello! My name is Nye. I'm slightly nervous to be dragging Syrinx in with me, the nymph who changed into hollow water reeds to get away from Pan only to have him love the sound so much he cut her up and carried her with him for eternity. Yeah.. Um...

Anywho... Syrinx is now Emma, an 18 year old undergrad studying music (voice) who dances, hunts, and can change into reed plants.

"What? She can change into a plant?"

Yes, typed out disembodied voice, she can. (Think of her PB in X-Men: First Class. You know, Mystique...) And she can do it at any time, but only near fresh water. (And there has to be soil under her, so there's no changing in the shower.) She's got it under control for the most part, but there are times when she's too stressed to stop herself.

"Wow."

I know. It's probably because of this that she likes being outside and will get restless if she spends too much time indoors.

She's very proud of her virginity. So much so that she'll stay that way until she dies. In her eyes, if you're a sexual being, you're a weak being. Needless to say, she does not care for the emotion called love. In fact, she runs away from it. Also, don't touch her. She doesn't like to be touched.

Emma/Syrinx hasn't been around people like her, and has not shared her secret with anyone other than her mother (who refused to even look at her after she watched her daughter change into reeds in front of her). But all that doesn't mean she's cold-hearted. She's actually pretty friendly. She'll play almost any kind of game and likes to have friends around her to talk to.
