HYACINTHS | Emmanuel's blood smells richly and unmistakably of hyacinths. Growing up this had always been a cause of concern for his parents and doctors, but as it seemed to be the product of nothing harmful and, in turn, was doing no harm to him they let it be. Equally, should his blood fall onto soil hyacinth flowers will grow. They are different from the average hyacinth, however, as they are not dependent on permissible conditions, tending to or any more attention than just being bled out into existence--they also grow to be bright and vivid flowers. These are prize-winning flowers that require little to no work. Emmanuel is not fond of this trait, as it is an obvious hint to who he was, and, as such, takes extra care not to bleed anywhere near where a flower could grow.
HEAD WOUND | A carryover of being killed by a discus to the head, Emmanuel is very soft-headed. It takes more than a simple tap on the head, but an amount of force against his head often leads to moments of blacking out. Maybe a smack upside the head, headbutts, etc. Anything harder than that and he may find himself unconscious. It won't kill him, unless that is the intent, but it proves to be greatly inconvenient in his day-to-day life. Because of this, and other reasons, he's prone to wearing a helmet for most of his day.
DEADLY RIVALRY | When it comes to Emmanuel, jealousy is a common occurrence. If you desire him in any way (be it romantically, as a friend, as a coworker or whatever) you may find that seeing him with other people will arouse jealousy. And it isn't normal, easily ignored jealousy. There is an element of a burning need to get violent; but not against the other party, against Emmanuel. The jealous party often feels the desire to attack him, to get rid of him altogether. Whether or not they actually act upon this desire is a different matter, as everyone is still very capable of making their own decisions. The degree to which this affects a person is very much dependent on how great their feeling of liking is for Emmanuel. If he's an easily forgotten face to you, then the element of jealousy is very unlikely to be inspired within you; but if you care about him deeply, it's probably very hard to avoid it.
