I'd like to turn to a type of song that people like myself find ourselves subjected to with increasing frequency as time goes on, and that is the college alma mater. You'll find yourself at a reunion of grads, and old undergrads, and eh... somebody will start croaking out one of these things and everyone will gradually join in -- each in his own key, of course -- until the place is just soggy with nostalgia. Well, a typical such song might be called Bright College Days, and might go like this. Bright college days, O carefree days that fly, To thee we sing with our glasses raised on high. Let's drink a toast as each of us recalls Ivy-covered professors in ivy-covered halls. Turn on the spigot, pour the beer and swig it, and gaudeamus igit-ur. Here's to parties we tossed, To the games that we lost, We shall claim that we won them some day. To the girls young and sweet, To the spacious back seat of our beat up Chevrolet.

hey everyone

'Tis Sheli here and I just wanted to publicly announce that I have officially dropped Merlin. I know many of you didn't get to interact with him and, for that, I am v v sorry. This is probably of no surprise to some: I had been struggling with his voice for some time and yesterday I realized that I was fighting the inevitable. I cannot say how sorry I am for both holding onto him when I should have given someone else a chance to pick him up and for dropping out on what few lines he did with your characters.

Thank you so v v much for offering your help in my attempts to find his muse.


Never to fear, however, as I do intend to pick someone else up to fill that slot. c: I know technically this half belongs in [info]monte_extras , but I am lazy and covered in coffee.

Sop. Were there any preferences or wishes out there? From anyone? I'm looking to avoid the Greek & JC pantheons, but am open to all else. Also open to PB suggestions - any specific face you'd like to see in game? Family relations you're searching for?

Hey, all! Jackie here, back from the land of vacationing and bearing an Étaín - who you've probably already seen floating around over in [info]monte_extras - so we'll just keep this short and sweet: Abbey's the daughter of a casino owner father and an absentee pop-singer mother. Been dating Sam/Abel for the last three years. (Which began with a a fair amount of cheating and resulted in a good deal of guilt.) She's a second-year grad student, studying costume & jewelry design - and she works part-time at Hocus Pocus, a magic & novelty shop in town.

And now for your obligatory power-listing:

. lovely all until etain . Abigail inspires temptation and desire in a man who suffers doubts in his relationships, who is looking for a way out. Hell, to a man who is just plain looking, she's incredibly beautiful and alluring. Conversely, to a woman suffering similar insecurities, she dredges up feelings of bitterness and jealousy. (She genuinely hates it.) How the genders are effected can occasionally switch, but it generally tends to remain mythologically compliant. Also: Her current contentment and settledness does temper the effect slightly.

. the secret life of abbey mack . In times of intense emotion - particularly when experiencing fear or nerves - she dissolves into water. And yes, before you ask, pleasure has done it once or twice. Shut up. (Seriously. Her powers all suck or are terminally embarrassing.) She'll usually come back to herself a split-second later though, hair dripping and looking astoundingly sheepish about the whole thing. It's reasonable to assume that she might be able to manage the other transformations that Étaín had been put through at some point, but it hasn't happened yet.

Her application is a bit on the ginormous side - this is what happens when you write things out scattered all over notebooks - but it's over here, if anyone wants to poke at it.
