{MONTE OOC
college town grad law med military
I'd like to turn to a type of song that people like myself find ourselves subjected to with increasing frequency as time goes on, and that is the college alma mater. You'll find yourself at a reunion of grads, and old undergrads, and eh... somebody will start croaking out one of these things and everyone will gradually join in -- each in his own key, of course -- until the place is just soggy with nostalgia. Well, a typical such song might be called Bright College Days, and might go like this. Bright college days, O carefree days that fly, To thee we sing with our glasses raised on high. Let's drink a toast as each of us recalls Ivy-covered professors in ivy-covered halls. Turn on the spigot, pour the beer and swig it, and gaudeamus igit-ur. Here's to parties we tossed, To the games that we lost, We shall claim that we won them some day. To the girls young and sweet, To the spacious back seat of our beat up Chevrolet.

OHLAWDY. (let's try this again)

asldkfjoiewr;a. beeteedubs. This is Sheli and yes I am continuing with obsession with red hair.

I would like to present unto you all Helen of Troy. Though, please, call her Emilie.

Emilie is on of the theatre professors at MU; though she splits a lot of her time with obtaining hours as an intern of sorts, coaching and working on shows of her own. The basic facts are: She enrolled in early graduation, graduated from Berkeley and obtained her MFA at NYU. She's taken classes at the Alexander Institute of Berkeley and with Kristen Linklater herself. Needless to say, she's one of those actors and has a shitton of loans to pay off. She's working on obtaining a license to coach both the Alexander Technique (a focus of body movement in acting) and the Linklater Voice (a branch off of Alexander in which the body is closely studied in how it affects the voice). She teaches mostly overview and introductory courses, but she does coach on the side (for those interested :D).

As a person, she generally does not get a long with women (though I am open to one or two ladies who could put up with Emilie's nonsense) and is, naturally, drawn to men. She plays wingman and one-night-stand very well. Emilie laughs at everything and often uses her laughter as a means of covering and bottling up her emotions. She tends to either ignore any and all questions/comments about  her being Helen, or full-out lies. Her favorite lie is that about how Zeus had actually instructed Hermes to carry her to Egypt and sent Paris off with a cloud shaped to her form. If all else fails? SHE PRETENDS TO BE AWESOMELY PROUD OF WHO SHE IS. /she'snot.

She also drinks a lot. I mean a lot. Feel free to be her drinking buddy.

Her powers are as follows: (commence copy-pasta)

MAN EATER | Men find her attractive, plain as that. Even on her worst of days, Emilie is still highly attractive to those of the opposite sex. Helen never had much luck with women then and she doesn't now; but men continue to be her champions. Even if they absolutely hate her they can't say she is physically unappealing. This obviously does wonders for her self-esteem.

LADY IS A TRAMP | Just as Helen was able to subdue Menelaus' rage by simply stripping, Emilie is incredibly persuasive when nude. It isn't always a certainty, but the more skin she shows the more likely it is that things will go her way—people will pay for her coffee, open doors for her or let her have the best seat in the house without having to pay the full price. The notion is more of a suggestion and everyone is still very much in control of their own free will, they just might find that the urge to please her is very appealing. Because of this, Emilie tends to bundle up around those she likes or respects and skimp-it-out when dealing with people she hasn't a single care for, or wants something from.

ROMEO, ROMEO | Despite herself, Emilie is instantly drawn to the romantics and poets of the world, believing their flourished tales of greatness and strength. Their voices are like a flame, and she is a moth stupidly diving into her death. This isn't so much a power as it is a hindrance and Emilie hates it. As an artist herself, she comes across several of these romantic types and has been duped by each and every one of them—Paris continues to make a mockery of her.

Lines!
  • One or two female friends.

  • All the one-night-stands in the world! Ex-boyfriends! Bad and good breakups.

  • I would like to possibly work out a line regarding someone she pines for but will never obtain (her Hector).

  • Paris-types to make her rage.

  • Theatre majors looking to work with her! :D (Music and dance majors welcome, as well. I've, personally, used the Alexander Technique and Linklater Voice basics in my music and dance work and it's helped--so it's not entirely unlikely.)

  • ALL THE DRAMAR.

  • She's also Apollo's roommate and prone to playing up his worth to the ladies he's going for and then mocking them the next morning. /sorrybro

And her profile can be found here.

False start.
It's here.
