I'd like to turn to a type of song that people like myself find ourselves subjected to with increasing frequency as time goes on, and that is the college alma mater. You'll find yourself at a reunion of grads, and old undergrads, and eh... somebody will start croaking out one of these things and everyone will gradually join in -- each in his own key, of course -- until the place is just soggy with nostalgia. Well, a typical such song might be called Bright College Days, and might go like this. Bright college days, O carefree days that fly, To thee we sing with our glasses raised on high. Let's drink a toast as each of us recalls Ivy-covered professors in ivy-covered halls. Turn on the spigot, pour the beer and swig it, and gaudeamus igit-ur. Here's to parties we tossed, To the games that we lost, We shall claim that we won them some day. To the girls young and sweet, To the spacious back seat of our beat up Chevrolet.

THAT BEING SAID, I ESPY NEWBIES THAT I DO NOT KNOW, SO IF YOU COULD ALL BE A DEAR!!! Do drop by this entry and introduce yourselves to me & your characters! I promise to give you ALL the plots and things, and I'm even in the process of having my entire cast post so you can go comment-bomb them and throttle them or what-have-you.

Hey all, with Aria/Euterpe's father (and his band) blowing into town this weekend I thought it would be a good chance to explore some of her back story and why she is way she is. With that in mind, I need a volunteer (or two) to be pulled up on stage during the performance of The Dueling Dixons who will have the honor an privilege of being snogged by Aria's daddy (think Ed Burns-looking guy with a brogue) and setting her off on an epic rant and storm-off.

So, any ladies interested?

ETA: For anyone interested it'll be an 18+ show at Finnegan's Wake, and I'll put up an open log for it. >_>

ETA2: Jazz and Mel will be getting their mack on with Aria's dad. Lucky ladies.
