I'd like to turn to a type of song that people like myself find ourselves subjected to with increasing frequency as time goes on, and that is the college alma mater. You'll find yourself at a reunion of grads, and old undergrads, and eh... somebody will start croaking out one of these things and everyone will gradually join in -- each in his own key, of course -- until the place is just soggy with nostalgia. Well, a typical such song might be called Bright College Days, and might go like this. Bright college days, O carefree days that fly, To thee we sing with our glasses raised on high. Let's drink a toast as each of us recalls Ivy-covered professors in ivy-covered halls. Turn on the spigot, pour the beer and swig it, and gaudeamus igit-ur. Here's to parties we tossed, To the games that we lost, We shall claim that we won them some day. To the girls young and sweet, To the spacious back seat of our beat up Chevrolet.

!!!! [15 Feb 2012|11:42pm]
Hello cats and kittens! I'm Emma ([info]classical/[info]allegro) and I am stupidly excited to be here. My neighbor also seems to be using a power saw at 1145 at night, but more about me late because right now, I want to introduce you to Jonathan McNamara AKA Heimdallr from Norse mythology. Now for some bullet points:

● You might recognize him as the guardian of Asgard as played by the BAMF Idris Elba in Thor. Jonathan wishes he were that awesome.
● A sophomore trumpet performance major and mostly shows up for work at the campus bookstore.
● Irresponsible and a bit lazy, but pleasant enough.
● Party?
● According to Norse legend, he is going to be the first to know when the world starts to end.
● He can ~*see the future*~ but it never makes any sense and he can't control it.
● A more coherent version of my rambling can be found here.

As for me, I hail from near the middle of no where Pennsylvania and live in a 112 year old house with my three cats, which means I get freaked out by noises quite a lot. By day I am a registered nurse working in an operating room where I have this pretty sweet deal of only working Friday through Sunday. This means Monday through Thursday I get to sit at home or drive 40 minutes to civilization! Blah, blah, blah my AIM is anne boleyns tin and feel free to add me with you CDJ. Questions? Comments? Plots? Anyone? Bueller?
