Characters: Adam/Adam (appleadayadam) & Blythe/Iris (element_sky)
Date/Time: 1st April, Sunday; afternoon
Location: Lawn by the lake
Rating: TBD
Summary: Meeting, chilling, maybe becoming friends (to Adam's conflicting feelings of glee and dismay).
Even if it hadn't been such a pleasant Sunday afternoon, Adam still would've left his room for a walk. He had a lot of homework to finish, but couldn't focus. Staying indoors too long always made him anxious. When he reached that point, there were the usual telltale signs: uninterrupted knee jumping, continual pen flipping, drumming on notebooks and last but most critical of all, over-analyzing people on Facebook to see if he could find out who they really were.
Eventually, the undeniable urge to get up, stretch his legs and take in a deep breath of that fresh mountain air lead him straight out the door. Though these walks often started off as aimless wanderings, he'd usually find something to do or run into someone that interested him. That particular afternoon wasn't any different. He debated making his way into town or maybe checking out the woods since he hadn't been there in awhile, but quickly decided otherwise as he glanced towards the lake.
There were quite a few people out that day, enjoying one of the first convincing returns of the sun after a harsh winter. The air still had a definite chill to it, of course, but it wasn't anything Adam wasn't accustomed to growing up in Altamont. The colors of spring were slowly but surely creeping into the scenery, but the most colorful sight of all was, believe it or not, one girl's hair.
Adam saw her around every now and then, but never really talked to her and came to the speedy conclusion that there was no better time to change that.
He stepped off the walkway, greeting a few familiar faces he passed along the way, then eventually flopped down onto the grassy lawn beside the girl with the colorful hair. And beads were in them, too. He just noticed them now. "Nice beads," Adam smiled at her, then glanced and nodded toward the notebook she held in her hands. "What are you up to?" He skipped introducing himself altogether sometimes. It just got in the way of the interesting stuff he really wanted to get to.
