Ned's warrant has been dealt with. It's been reclassified inactive with a trail of cyber breadcrumbs and official evidence that traces the hack from where Ned's connection ended to a Russian government affiliated group known for this kind of thing.

May, I'm thinking maybe another week and then lift the 'he can't go anywhere, grounding'?

No problem. He doesn't deserve to have them breathing down his neck, nor does the other version of him that has no idea that any of this is going on. Next lesson is how to have this not happen again.

I know. And I'm sorry.

But he's determined. And I recognize that determination because... well... he reminds me of me. And if he's anything like me, then with or without help, he's going to do whatever he has to to meet his goal.

Well I didn't mean to, but it's true. I had support when I was jumping the rooftops, but I kept it from my dad. Ned can talk to you about what's going on. He doesn't have to keep it a secret.

Is it a bad thing that I was actually proud of him for that? Like, getting the warrant sucks, but there's a surge of pride for trying to hack the government like that.

Another week.

And then we start your training. Computer training first lesson is going to be covering your tracks so stuff like this doesn't happen again.

Physical Training: Starting with arm strength so you can start with thrown items. Basic defense.

We know you were. And you aren't being punished because of that. I'm actually proud of your initiative. But while your heart was in the right place, there may have been a different way to handle it in that moment.

Having this power means that we need to weigh the pros and cons of our approaches. And that's something we'll talk about too.

But Ned, I did something similar when I was your age. So I've been there. I'm proud of you.
