So bit of an update. I've been asked by Sabrina to act as a sort of den mum/adult-in-residence to the magic users who are moving into her family home which just appeared at the edge of New Asgard. So I'm going to be moving out of the compound and into the house.

Thankfully it isn't very far from the Compound if an emergency hits. And like all of us, at least until we can figure out some kind of teleport, I'm rather used to all the running.

This also might open a new opportunity for medical care in New Asgard.

Normally no, but it's Sabrina and her friends and - as much as he denies it - these are Stephen's girls. And I won't so much be dealing with magic myself as being there so a group of teenagers isn't there without any adults.

The way Sabrina explained it was that she'd thought about talking to Steven or Harry Dresden about moving in, but a grown man living with a group of teenaged girls, even one who they trust like a father or an uncle, might give the wrong impression to anyone outside the circle.

She also suggested that the downstairs, which previously was mortuary, might be converted to a medical suite. Which means New Asgard would get its first doctor's office.

It's a change, But also... if we're going to be here a while... I think I'd like to put down some roots instead of feeling like I'm living on a UNIT base?
