Oh, I can definitely see where you are going with this now. It would make sense if the characters were relevant to the overall plot somehow and, ironically, I do actually think it would be comical to see soldiers on a mission actually get caught up in mundane relationships and how those would affect their performance. A few plot points like that would lighten the mood and I'm always a sucker for humor, too. Would the clones be actual humans/human emotions or more robotic-like?
I think that would affect it, too, because I think human emotions are usually the plot twists that make the main characters fuck up when they would usually just perform the task. But, enhanced DNA could try to take that characteristic away from the clones, so they would perform better, but somehow nature would still take over and the emotional struggle would eventually start showing. That would be a fun character development point, too.
Maybe, if you want to lighten things up a little bit, you could actually make the social networking relevant to plot, in that it could be something of a conspiracy meeting site, masking as a dating service site, so the agents would be thrown off and could get some people mixed up because of wrong profiles. Or, not a dating service, but something equally ridiculous. Like, the name of the site would be code for the people involved. It could even be where the "resistence" meets and exchange tasks in codes - and, this way, the resistence could also be spread world-wide, which makes the whole conspiracy thing more realistic, too. Assuming there would be a good versus bad guys dynamic, that could potentially work. But, again, it would have to be watched carefully, so that it did not take over the main plot aspects of it.
And, unfortunately I don't think I'd have the time to become involved as a player, but I am always willing to discuss plot details whenever! I love giving opinions and talking things out, I'm just not very good with being directly involved with several projects at once. I am definitely all up for talking over plot, though! This is a great idea.
