EMAIL.

[info]cinefilm
TO: "Summer Project Production Team" (Jens Blixen, Juliet Lowe, Victor Lowe, Prudence Mackenzie, Avery Peabody, Sloane Ward)
FROM: "Malcolm Kelly" malcolm.kelly@nyu.edu
SUBJECT: Shooting schedule time.

Time to shoot some more of our little project again. We can knock about eight more parts of this shit out in either one day or two, whichever people think would be easiest/more practical/work with their schedules the best: one half of them during the day outdoors, and then the other at night inside. With that said, short list of who's going to be on camera when and where? I think you want it. Here it is. Take a look at it, then let me know what's up.

OUTDOORS, DAY
7. Juliet, Jens, Avery, Prue, Sloane. At roadside.
9. Juliet, Avery, Sloane, Vic. At park.
12. Juliet, Jens, Avery, Prue. At park.
13. Juliet, Jens, Malcolm. At park.

INDOORS, EVENING
8. Juliet. At apartment.
10. Juliet, Jens. At apartment.
11. Juliet, Jens. At apartment/outside.
14. Juliet, Jens. At apartment.

I'd tell you to have fun doing whatever the fuck it is that you're going to be doing to celebrate, but I realize you're kind of a black hole into which joy is sucked and never seen again. At least try, yeah?

EMAIL!

[info]cinefilm
TO: "Jens Blixen," "Juliet Lowe"
CC: "Summer Project Production Team"
FROM: malcolm.kelly@nyu.edu "Malcolm Kelly"
SUBJECT: Shooting this week?

SUP KIDS. Free to start shooting over the next week? The first few parts are the least cast-intensive, so this should be fastest to get finished. Quick schedule suggestion:

DAY 1: Interior shots. Daytime store shot, then two evening apartment shots.
DAY 2: Exterior shots. Daytime park shot, then two evening park shots.

There'll also be some local flavor, ooh look at the tall buildings, location-establishing kinds of shots that need to get done, but that shouldn't take a whole production crew, considering it's as easy as shove camera towards window of car or bus + hit record button. Not hard.

Let me know whenever so we can get this show on the road~

TO: (ACTIVE MEMBERS, TOME RAIDERS MEETING CREW)
FROM: joseph.yazzie@nyu.edu "Joseph Yazzie"
SUBJECT: NYU Hall Meeting

"Vocal Protests at NYU Garner Visual Results: NEW YORK, NY. In a press release sent out this morning, the New York University Board of Directors announced its intent to hold a Campus Hall Meeting on Wednesday evening to discuss student concerns with the University's budget crisis..."

We're making noise, and I think this meeting is some indication that people can hear it. Let's consider attending this Campus Hall Meeting instead of the usual event at Tome Raiders, so that we can get a feel for what the university's administration is planning firsthand. We can (and should) discuss whatever comes out of this meeting afterward, though whether we choose to do so in person or via electronic means is something we can decide here, too.

The promise of cupcakes, as always, is in the air as per this arrangement.

OOC: I took down these names from the original OOC post re: the last meeting at Tome Raiders; this is by no means a definitive list, and if you would like your character to receive this e-mail, just say so and consider it done. Furthermore, if your character would not have shared her/his e-mail with anyone that might have given it to Ahdaf, also say so, and I will nix them from the list.

VIDEO MAIL.

[info]cinefilm

TO: j.kelly@medcohealth.com
FROM: malcolm.kelly@nyu.edu
SUBJECT: Birthday.

ATTACHED: birthday.mov

Video opens, gradually focuses on a tabletop scene. The wood surface is bare but for a plate of homemade pastry with a single glowing candle atop it. Malcolm's voice sounds from behind the camera:

Just wanted to show you what Mom and I made for the nineteenth anniversary of Alejandro.

Laughter rings out from behind the camera, this time from a third party. The camera shakes as Malcolm joins in for a moment, then steadies himself, voice still mild but turning more serious. But really. It's crazy to think that the last time we saw you, you were still in your forties. Now you're turning fifty-two. This is a whole new decade we're missing. And -- Malcolm trails off. You know what, it's your birthday, so we'll just leave it at that.

Camera expertly circles low around the table, gradually revealing his mother sitting at the opposite end. She smiles and waves. Just know how much you're on our minds today. We're sure the sachertorte is a lot better than what we had to work with -- His mom slowly shakes her head, as if to indicate 'not much' -- But we're thinking of you, enjoying the strudel on your behalf, wishing you could be here to finish it off with us.

Video shakes again as Malcolm turns the lens on himself, adding a wave of his own. Happy birthday, Dad. Hope you're having a good one, even if we can't be there.

TO: Papa
FROM: YaYa

Papa, I have some very good news for you.

There is talk that they might open the borders for the United States football team to go to Chennai.

Could you please try to arrange it so that I can go with them? I could be home. I haven't spoken Tamil in years, and I know I never spoke it well. But I can pretend enough, and stupid Americans would not even notice my accent. You can make up an identity for me, tell them that I was a reporter or something for the India team. Maybe they will let me go with them.

There are still eight episodes to film, but they can just kill off my character when I go missing.

Papa, this may be my only chance. I know you can do it. I need to be with you and Mama, and to meet and kiss my dear niece and nephew. Please help me. I will do anything to be home.

Kisses,
Yamya

Hey Sora!

So, remember how we went back to that alley and found that receipt? I KNOW I KNOW it's probably just trash, and it's sort of unreadable anyway, but I've dried it out and I thought, "hey, maybe I could use an imaging program and mess with the saturation, put it through some layers" so I went ahead and found this oooooold copy of Photoshop online. but the problem is, it only runs on Windows 8 and below, and I sorta maxed out my bandwidth already getting photoshop...

do you think you could find a copy of Windows 8 or 7, and then we can run a virtual machine and get it running?

you're amazing!

SUBJECT: Next Week

Spring break is finally here, and ever since I've been in NY I haven't let myself get away for a break, but I've decided that as a senior, I ought to let myself have a bit of fun. So, I will be heading to DC on Sunday for the next week.

Anyway, I'll have my phone with me. So you'll still be able to get in touch with me.

Try to keep the city riot-free while I'm gone! ;)

Love,
Aubrey
