omg hiii.
So, I feel a little like I should be taken out the back and shot - I have not managed to hit up a single meme or intro post as yet, BUT I read all the intros? So points to me. I am not sure I will get a chance to since the game starts tomorrow, but please feel free to hit me up about your characters if you think I should.

FIRST OF ALL - me! I am Nat, with the CDJ of missbossyboots. I'm 27, Australian, and work in an office. It's a very boring job with a fair amount of downtime, so it means I get to play around on the internet a lot. Except when it's busy. So if you're talking to me and I suddenly don't reply for awhile, it's because the phones got busy and I lost where I was, chatting wise.

MORE IMPORTANTLY - my characters! This journal is Sam Patterson, a 24 year old musical prodigy from Australia. She was over here studying at Julliard when the bomb was dropped, and thus got stranded. Being Australian, and thus from one of the most least likely to bomb anywhere countries, she actually didn't start having problems until after the Retention Act and America being kicked out of the UN. Then she lost her place at the school, her nice apartment, and lived on the charity of others until she a) found a job and then b) an apartment. She shares a 2 bedroom apartment in District 1 with five other foreign nationals, and it's all very cozy. She works as a waitress in a restaurant in District 0, and occasionally will play something if it's a special occasion. Despite her life going to shit (since not only did all of the above happen, her Australian fiance also decided to dump her, the ass), Sam is still pretty sunshiney about everything. You will never not see her without a smile on her face or something nice to say to people. Other people have it worse off than her, after all. Her parents (a member of the Victorian parliament and the Deputy Police Commissioner) have been doing what they can to get her out of America, but obviously, no luck so far! She's mostly neutral about things, except for the part where she would really like to go home, so she leans towards the rebels and won't be too hard to convince to go that way.

NEXT IS - Declan Bishop, 30, driveallnight. A refugee from Albequerque, his father died of cancer after the bomb hit (Declan doesn't miss him much, let's be honest) and Declan drove east in his car. He has family scattered around America, though he is pretty shit at keeping in touch with them. Why? Because he forgets. Why? Because he's high about 75% of the time (he would be more, but pot isn't as easy to find as it used to be. Especially when you don't really have a steady job. He is one of the many refugees in New York without a permanent address - not that it bothers him too much, he just sleeps in his car or on couches of friends. He's laid back, extremely likely to take advantage of your generosity (though in turn, just as likely to share whatever he has with anyone and everyone) and makes his money working as a mechanic when people need help with shit. He is quite happy to exchange his skill with cars for food, clothes, a shower, a hot meal, pot, whatever. Hello barter system, his old friend. He's also on the rebel side of things, he's not quite sure how, but it just happened. Lots of things seem to just happen to him, he's not quite sure how. He just thinks the way things are kinda suck. Not for him personally, he's cool. But you know, it sucks for other people.

AND THIRDLY - Harper Jane Crichton, 16, perfectstart. A New York native, her daddy is the mayor (and will be in game soon too!). :"> She is the biggest daddy's girl in the history of the world, she's been attending political events with him since she was a baby, which has honestly made her a little precocious. Very conservative, she is an excellent student (one of the best in her class), very religious (she rediscovered the church after the bomb, although she's always been Methodist and attended church with daddy), ambitious (she wants to be President one day) and she is the president of the chastity club at school. While she's not really bitchy, and does her best to be smiley and friendly, she can come across as a little aloof and judge-y. Her mother died in the bomb, as she was out west at a conference. She was, however, a liberal activist from a liberal family dynasty (think the Kennedys, that sort of thing), and the only thing Harper seems to have inherited from her was her hair color, because she is, as mentioned, a complete daddy's girl. They are extremely close, and Harper would rather die than disappoint him. It's a good thing she's pretty much perfect, isn't it?
