Dead goldfish time -- notice of ded intarwebz AND sporadic absence and intermittency
Alice, my DSL carrier has some serious problems for some of her nodes in Munich. It's a known problem, so very known that the hotline turns me away saying internet problems for some customers in my area code are known and being worked on. Her friendly recorded voice says something about 'one or two hours', but I fear the dear lady is lying through her teeth. The problem started at one AM last night on the dot; so I suspect some scheduled maintenance of whatever gone horribly wrong -- as that is the traditional time for admins to schedule automatic maintenance.

So, I am at the Metropolitans' -- Alice is giving them no probs, as apparently they are not just 'some customers' -- catching up on stuff and writing an article until about six today (Friday), then I'll do stuff in RL and be about, and unless Alice has whipped her nodes into shape until then, I'll be offline tonight, watching crime series and/or reading 'The Harlequin'*.

Tomorrow, Saturday, the Nazgul and I are going to Kaltenberg, barring torrential rains that persist longer thatn noon, and/or focasts of the whole world nearing a watery end. So, I might be there in the morning -- Alice permitting -- but almost certainly not any later, anyway. Apart from the obligatory 'OMG I am ded it was great' post upon returning. Alic permitting.

On Sunday, the Nazgul's kendo dôjô does a demonstration at a Japan festival that happens annually here in Munich (barring torrential rains); I'll be there womanning her Nikon and feeling like my character Andras from Morningstar Manor. I might be there in the morning and/or the evening, Alice permitting, but have house-elfing to do, lots of it, because my sister and the Little Lady arrive on Monday.

From Monday to Thursday, I shall be visitor season scarce (Alice permitting), Thursday afternoon, the Nazgul and I go to see HBP in the cinema, and after that, I'm going to be back to normal.

Alice permitting.

* I HATE Anita Blake, the character, by the way.

ETA: My internet is back -- planned absences and intermittencies still appy!

That is such bad luck. I hope they manage to sort Alice out soon!

Anita Blake - I warned you! But Kel says that the latest one has yur akshul plot in it instead of just multi-chaptered boinking sessions.

Oh, does it? Saundra read it, and mentioned something about Anita and JC doing something horrible to Asher, and then we asked no more...

Yes, 'Micah' had plot as well -- I actually liked it. It wasn't so long, either. Perhaps some editor had managed to kill off all the scenes of mass bonking.
